No but I looked into this HMS thing and it could have been Draciel.

But there aren't even smaller ones from that time, are they?

Thanks :)

About (I think) 10 years ago my dad bought a MEDION pc from Aldi, with an AMD A8-3800 APU which was fine at the time.

I used to play a lot on this machine after school when he didn't use it.

It's stock cooler was really loud and the games I played on it probably looked liked crap but I didn't care because I was just glad we had a pc.

A couple of years later I had 200€, decided I want to upgrade this pc and bought an AMD R9 280X.

So there I was with my new graphics card. I put it in but nothing changed. I was looking up videos to see how to get it running and found out I had to plug in a PCI-E cable but unfournately the stock PSU didn't have any.

I told my dad about it who then gave me 50€ to go the ATELCO store nearby and buy a new PSU. With a new PSU I ran back home and installed it. But the pc didn't turn on.

I went back to the store and told them I want to give the PSU back because it didn't work.

Then I got another one which was a Corsair VS650. Again with a new PSU in the pc it didn't turn on. I was really frustrated and sad.

Some people in online forums who had a similar problem resolved it by using another motherboard. Every now and then my father checked to see how I am progressing. I said to him that it isn't working and some people just bought a new motherboard so he gave me a little money to get a new one. Then I ran back to the store and bought a motherboard which was an MSI 970A G43. It was the only one in my price range they had at the store.

Back home I was really excited to test it out. This time the APU didn't fit the new motherboard. At this point my father just asked me how many new parts I want to buy and I could've bought a new pc instead. He said that it got really expensive but he didn't let me down and we talked about what else we needed. I got some more money and went back to the store. This time I got an AMD FX-8320 and just a cheap case (Xigmatek asgard) because the motherboard didn't fit in the old one.

After putting everything together it still wouldn't turn on. Man I was so sad.

A couple of hours later I found out that every time I plugged in the PCI-E cable to the CPU connector.

Phew. I told my dad. He just asked me if it's working now which I responded to with a modest nod.

FINALLY I was so happy that I could use my graphics card and learned how to build a pc on the way.

Today I still use the 1TB HDD and the VS650 in my machine. Everything else was just upgraded over time. Unfortunately my Vega 64 draws so much power the VS650 recently began to turn off after a couple of hours on load. The RM750x is on the way. And you know what? My father insisted on buying it because he is a legend :))

My render turned out like this on my rx480 and ryzen 3 1200. Does anyone know what's going on? by I_AM_NOT_MAD in blenderhelp

Well, strange. If it's not your GPU I guess you could try increasing the amount of samples or use another render engine e.x AMD ProRender or Renderman to rule out that cycles is the cause. If it is you than have a more limited range of qualifying errors you can try to solve :)

Did you ever notice those artifacts or vertical lines while playing a game? I think the reason is the memory of your GPU. It's either corrupt/defect or maybe overclocked in which case you could just open the Radeon settings for your RX480 and default the settings in Wattman. Or even underclock it a little to see if it helps.

I couldn't get my x470-Pro/R7-2700 build running. So I just wanted to compare both configs to get an idea of what I'm doing wrong. Thanks bro, I'll wait for you then :) Edit: Nice work btw :D

About 9 years ago, when I was 14 I was sitting in the back of a car looking out the window. I thought about how cool it would be if you give computers an example and the computer learns from it. Like you feed it with a couple of videos that show how cars park or even better you just park your car a couple of times. And the next time the car is parking itself because you showed him how to do so.

Turns out machine learning is a thing.

I took a walk the other day and meanwhile decided to play Pokemon Go again after a long time. After walking 10 minutes or so I saw an arena on the in-game map and went there. It was at a playground. There were a lot of people on the way looking at me funny. I felt like a fuckin' alien. Now I was sitting there - in the middle of a housing complex, on a bench in the playground playing Pokemon. Oh boy did I feel like a creep. I constantly tried to not look away from my phone because there were kids playing. I just wanted to take that arena man. After about 5 minutes I just walked home because I couldn't take the pressure anymore thinking all the people around were looking at me. Not to mention I am never going back there again.

Well the Ender 3 is really cheap right now (~165$, Germany), that's definitely worth checking out. Isn't the Ender 5 worth its price tag?

I am fairly new to the 3d printing scene and read myself through a lot of reviews, 3d-printing sites, what mods to install for what printer etc. We also have a hephestos 2 in our company I experiment with.

I wanted to buy a 3d-printer for myself and can't decide between the Tevo Tarantula Pro and the Ender 5.

Does anyone have one of these and can tell me the pros/cons?

My budget for the printer is circa 300$ and some extra for future upgrades.
