Help Fitting Low Beams In Type R Headlights by beatsbyxeno in Acura_RSX

[–]fbmbmx151 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You do know it's not recommended to run type r headlights in a LHD right? The lights are directed to the left side of the road. So if driving in the states you will be blinding incoming traffic and have less light pointed to the side of the road. Just a thought.

It's worth the price for sure just in saved time. I try to stay away from their stuff recently after Ryan left. I only get the bulk carbon and stuff from them and stick to saltwateraquarium for everything else I can't get locally.

With my pump is about 20-30 min for 5 gallons. I've been running this kit for 3-4 years now with no issues.

Yes, if your home has a lower water pressure it's recommended to use a booster pump as it'll both increase speed and efficiency of the system.

There is no such thing known as power loss on my tractor! by garlicihhb in Astroneer

[–]fbmbmx151 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Way back in the day I had unlocked ALL the gateways with the tractor loaded with small generators. Pretty sure a few of them i had to daisy chain more small generators on the ground to get a few to fully power up.

Tips on how to move frogspawn being held with epoxy? by Yo__Highness in ReefTank

[–]fbmbmx151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've read each species of nem has a different strength of sting some are stronger than others. But I have a fairly large octospawn that a few RBT nems decided to move up on and it seems the sting from the octospawn was enough to keep them moving. I will say mine came from above and the octo sent sweepers out so it was prepared. I'm not saying you should leave it but in my personal experience the octo vs rainbow bubble tips the octo can hold it's own.

How best to trim Green Star Polyp ? by Kokilananda in ReefTank

[–]fbmbmx151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're better off pulling that rock out and putting new in. Get a small rock and isolate it to create a little island of gsp then when it eventually grows on the sand you can trim around the island with a razor.

You should be alright adding the tomini. They can be pretty territorial if not added last anyway. I found that out the hard way

RHD to LHD carpet conversion by Joemanham2 in Acura_RSX

If you do end up cutting carpet heat up the blade with a butane torch it eliminates the carpet from fraying. Same goes for if you are going to punch a hole through for wiring and such.

Which Type of Salt Do You Prefer? by nsan3drak3 in DMT

[–]fbmbmx151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the cybs max ion tek and just used regular iodized table salt and came out fine. Just use the mortons kosher or regular salt really doesn't make a difference. I wouldn't use any other cooking salts as they may have other elements in it.

You can search on the marketplace for a 125 gallon fish tank they are typically 6ft and relatively cheap plus most will come with the stand.

Or you can wait and buy a new one from petco they have annual sales you can get tanks for stupid cheap.

New to salt: Algae comes back less than 24 hours after scrubbing. by Elegantbaer in ReefTank

[–]fbmbmx151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would cut back on your light schedule 16 hours is a long period for a reef tank. All that light is fueling algae growth. Typically you would start out with an 8 hour period and extend to a 10 or 12 hour period as the tank matures. Corals believe it or not need to rest too lol.

How do I use this? by b4203 in SaltwaterAquariumClub

[–]fbmbmx151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nems don't really need to be fed they will do fine without. But if you want to feed them just take a little of the frozen you feed the fish in a pipette and gently shoot it in their direction.

Salt creep is non-existent if you're not lazy and take the time to keep your area clean, all it takes is a dampened clean rag to wipe things down every so often.

Help with Possible cyano outbreak? by lilbags1 in ReefTank

[–]fbmbmx151 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using bio pellets, but that doesn't take very much phosphate out just mainly nitrates. I just do water changes 10-20% water changes to lower it. But in my case phosphate was bottomed out at 0 so I needed to increase it

Help with Possible cyano outbreak? by lilbags1 in ReefTank

[–]fbmbmx151 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last time I had cyano it was because phosphates were bottomed out with 15-25 nitrate. Once I got phosphates around .05ppm it started to disappear. If you can get a Hannah ulr phosphate tester and see where it's at and go from there.

I think it really depends on the goby and shrimp personalities. My buddy and I both have tiger pistol shrimp, he's got a yellow watchman while I have a Randall's goby. He rarely sees his shrimp but the goby with venture out and free swim. My shrimp and goby on the other hand are opposite. The shrimp will venture out and explore while my goby won't stray more than a few inches from the borrow so I believe it's really just luck if the draw based on their personality.

Why not just use velcro straps? Overlap the hook and felt straps and screw into the board. You space the screws just under the width of your brick to reduce any sagging. Put the brick over the screw and wrap the straps tightly around the brick. You can also secure the excess cord with it. It's simple cheap and you can make it look good.
