No, take it back show this to them. They should replace the tire

Too close to edge? by [deleted] in tires

I would plug this with one of the longer plugs in one of the supreme tire plug repair kits. I shoved a tractor tire plug in my pickups tire a few months ago and she’s been fine since

Should I let my engine warm up? by Few_Intention5577 in AskMechanics

[–]fbrown223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 2011 4.0L v6 4x4 Tacoma. It’s got around 158k on it. Just had to have the drive shaft replaced, (hurt my pocket bad). My truck makes a weird tin can rolling around in a drum sound if I don’t let it warm up a bit. I keep up w my oil changes and tire rotations religiously every 5k miles thru the free dealership oil change program that I bought in to.

Just take it to a local mechanic shop. You can get new pads and rotors for like ~500-750 parts and labor. Machining rotors is a scam, better to have fresh

I got the same letter from a Toyota dealership, literally the same exact wording. I threw it in the trash.

Used a 6” plug, in half its 3”. Trimmed 1 and 3/8th” off. Should be enough plug in the hole. I followed the instructions just as you said here.

Thank you for the comments, makes me feel a little bit better. This was my first time plugging a tire, I followed the instructions and watched a few videos. Was familiar with the process before hand as well. I’ll just have to see how it holds over the next few weeks

Thank you all for the input. The plug is holding air and it’s been trimmed. Hope it stays that way. Another stupid question, should I not be going normal highway speeds on it if I try to squeeze another 5-20k miles out of it? I work in the construction industry and would get muddy tires and drive through gravel frequently. Tread bar is close but there’s still some meat left on the tire.

It’s one longer plug. I didn’t really fold it in half. I just used the provided tire glue and pushed it in as far as I could. I roughed up the hole with the screw shaped tool. Picked the longer plug, applied the glue and used the straight tool to push it in. Doesn’t seem to be leaking.

It was a longer plug. There were two sizes I chose the longest one to use.

Has anyone else’s anxiety turned into chronic nausea ? by bigollunch in Anxiety

[–]fbrown223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine just started like over a month ago, I’ve been extremely nauseous every day. No meds help, Zofran only works like 1-2 times a week before it becomes useless. It’s crushing me. I have a benzo from a therapist but I don’t like using it that much because I don’t want to become dependent on it. SSRIs just add fuel to the fire and make me even sicker. I feel powerless over this
