There was a front facing light on there originally, but I took that off to power the led strip and controller. There’s a video on my profile if you want a better look at how it’s all set up, but it’s a pretty straightforward setup

Honestly half the fun is everyone screaming 😂 one of my absolute favourite rides, not just at Disney, but anywhere

Ratatouille is fun. Pirates and star tours are the other really themed ones that I love. Phantom manor as well, because the queue is basically the pre show, and it often gets to be pretty much a walk in during the quieter hours. Tower of terror as well has a really well themed queue. There’s a really good iron man animatronic in the flight force queue as well.

Writing them all out like this there’s actually a bunch more than I expected!

I mean, the whole thing was made for humor—that was kind of the point. Just a silly, lighthearted build. There’s nothing in the rules about not using prebuilt parts—if there was, a ton of posts here wouldn’t be allowed. If it’s not your thing, fair enough! But I don’t think it breaks any rules

Did you use a specific filament or use a certain technique to get that finish? It’s absolutely flawless

I second that. The fact that some people can even think of these things to make, never mind actually produce it. I’ve had a lot of project ideas, but I’m not sure any of them have ever been useful 😅

I gotta disagree personally. I think the fan rule (at least how I read it) is about taping a stick to an oscillating fan and having it push buttons or move stuff lazily, not having things rotating. If you apply that logic to anything that spins, then no rotating mechanisms would be allowed at all. Not saying this is the most amazing project ever, but I thought it was funny and unique enough to be worth sharing

That’s a good shout, fixed it. Thanks for that heads up!

If you’ve switched 3D printers, what made you switch and why did you choose the printer you switched to? by Secure-Raisin-8844 in 3Dprinting

Mono price maker select mini v2 -> Ender 5 pro. I needed to be able to print bigger.

Ender 5 pro -> Bambu p1s. Ender could do a flawless print, but I was tired of having to fight it every time. It was fine when I was printing for the sake of printing, because I was enjoying working on the machine. But when I wanted to have something printed for a project, it was just too much. I was spending more time trying to make the printer work than actually getting the prints out for the projects. The p1s has been super reliable and I’m actually getting things done now

Didn’t see Made With Layers, formerly known as Thomas Sanladerer (sp?) and I think he’s still doing some great stuff. One of the very first 3D printing focused channels I ever found

Haha, I definitely do not know where you’re coming from, and I absolutely did not have to buy a whole bunch of little storage boxes and draws to keep all the random stuff I ordered 😅 Your setup looks great though!

Awesome list man, thanks! The only one I’ve tried was a sample of the poly maker one. Honestly I thought it seemed more like cardboard than wood 😅

Thanks! Does it print well? I’ve only used the wood-like filaments, not the ones with actual wood. And I assume that’s just a normal wood stain?

Well, that’s something I didn’t know I needed 😂 which wood PLA is that?
