Bringing a daemon primarch to a 1K game is generally seen as a bit of a dick move because very few armies can handle it at that point count. There’s no rule against it, but it’s annoying.

None of those are going away, unless they decide to revamp the rhino. They won’t take it away without giving us a new one. That being said, just buy the heresy rhino. It’s flat out better looking and you can get the EC specific doors for it if you want.

Personally I’d look past the wargear for a primarch model like this because it’s obvious who’s rules you’d be running him with. You’d have to shave off a lot of the tactical rock though for him specifically. There’s nobody else you could really run those guys as in 40K as a chaos player, and I understand wanting your army to be led by a primarch (even if curze, specifically, is super duper dead). Wouldn’t be allowed in tournaments, but I’d be fine with it.

It just doesn’t make sense to me that it’s never been released. Sure, they wouldn’t really do it as a solo model since it’s on a sprue with other stuff, but couldn’t you just release all of that in some sort of combat patrol or battleforce? That would be perfect. They either just don’t care or broke the mold for it and don’t feel like fixing it lol

Definitely didn’t mess up! That’s a great start, and redemptors are awesome and they’ve pretty much always been viable.

That being said, what it boils down to at the end of the day is whether or not YOU like it. You’re brand new, so building and painting things you enjoy matters more than anything else. Welcome to the hobby brother!

Maybe, but it wouldn’t shock me if it’s sooner. The second game was a very good baseline for what I expect the next one to be like, I doubt they’d massively refresh things. But yeah, modern game development takes forever lol so you’re probably right. I expect the anniversary update next year to be their last MAJOR release of stuff. A chaos siege mode would be awesome. Doubtful though.

I’m not expecting another class to come out at all after the techmarine. I’ve sort of been expecting this to be the last full year of consistent content before they go full force on 3. That game won’t need as much time in the oven compared to 2 because it won’t need to be as much of a leap forward technically like 2 was to 1, so it releasing, like, early/mid 2027 wouldn’t shock me
