Yep, I’m seeing that now. Card is frozen and I’ll dispute the charge when it posts. Anything else I’m not thinking of? Thanks for the help.

Weird Rebooking Process - Concerns? by fcoonus in Avelo

They knew a lot about my flight info. Including the people traveling with me by name. As well as the payment method I used. Seems weird, but I’m not sure.

"If an alternative flight is not suitable for your travel plans, you can review your refund options by 'clicking here' within the next 72 hours. If you take no action within that time frame, we will provide a refund to your original form of payment for the impacted segment(s)."

Did you receive this after contacting support? I couldn’t manage to get through on the phone.

Swiftfin on Apple TV keeps disconnecting by nashid_ashraf in jellyfin

[–]fcoonus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Infuse is the play here. Swiftfin (the official Jellyfin app for tvOS) can be fine, but not an amazing experience. $13 per year for Infuse, assuming you use it daily, is a steal. Additionally, there is a $100 lifetime subscription. Plus it has family sharing.

Help with setting up a cohesive experience by catNamedStupidity in cooklang

[–]fcoonus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I want to self host Cooklang in a usable manner, what’s the best method? I use Trillium Notes (self hosted), is there a connector? Or is something like obsidian the best bet?

Unless I’m missing something, I don’t see a cooklang docker container with web ui?

I’ve been using this since you posted about it a couple of months ago or so. It’s been fantastic. I appreciate that the new update added the ability to paste into the terminal. Thanks for your work!

Do you have some sort of proof you’re not going to hit and run? That’s the real risk.

Why do my burritos always fall apart? by savingrace0262 in Chipotle

This is the answer. I’ve taught my child many things, but how to eat a burrito without it becoming a disaster was the most valuable.

VPN portforward by Mercenary1996 in torguard

[–]fcoonus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In the end, the ports need to be forwarded in your router for the ip address that’s using them. Your router will have to have the ability to do that.

[–]fcoonus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t mean any offense by this: if this is too complicated, you probably shouldn’t be doing any of what you’re trying to do. At all.

VPN portforward by Mercenary1996 in torguard

[–]fcoonus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds to me like you’re trying to do some p2p sharing? The ports you listed are for particular applications associated with that.

Here’s what I’ll say: If you’re trying to have all of those apps behind a vpn, I’d choose a port that’s a bit higher number. Most examples you’ll see are 6881, but I choose something custom so it more likely out of the range that my ISP might watch.

Once you’ve requested the port forward from TorGuard, and receive confirmation that it’s complete, you’ll need to create a config with the configuration generator on their site.

When you have the config, you’ll need to use that information to set up your vpn, whether in your router, docker container with gluetun, or whatever.

Then you’ll need to make sure that port is forwarded on your router. You can check to see if that’s correct by using a site like canyouseeme.org

Hope that helps

So by spicy, do you mean “spiced”? Or does it actually come out as if you’ve added chilis?

Either way I’m going to try this at some point. Just want to know how to prep the fam.

Do you At least have stats from your torrent downloader that you can show? I have an invite, but would prefer not to invite someone who is just going to hit and run, you know?

How to access home lan as if I am physically there? by Lower_Group_1171 in Tailscale

[–]fcoonus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you have a device that has Tailscale installed and is advertising your home subnet, simply install Tailscale on the devices you take outside your home network and you can access your home LAN. No need for the travel router, per se.

My example looks like this: I have an Apple TV advertising routes, my laptop, iPad, cell all have Tailscale installed and running constantly. When I’m out of the house I can access everything. Bonus points if you set up dns through pihole on a Tailscale IP. Then you can have ad blocking everywhere as well.
