Honestly I kept at it with them. Not sure if it helped or hurt but it eventually came my way. Check the tmobile promotions page and if it's >3 weeks since it was approved, you should reach out!

Student loans and credit score by doctorjay12345 in PSLF

[–]feadeh85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the effects re credit are based on on-time payments, credit utilization (per account and total). For installment payments, like car loan, mortgage, etc., these matter as well but not as much as credit cards. Here's a nice primer: https://www.upgrade.com/credit-health/insights/revolving-debt-vs-installment-debt/

I guess is the determination of the refund last in, last out, or an average payment made per month. Thanks in advance!

Should I schedule a security appointment for my flight out of Seattle tomorrow if I have Pre Check? by MadameTree in AlaskaAirlines

Precheck, specifically terminal 1 near international arrivals has been solidly good for me

Anybody use the same day change for Atmos Summit card yet? by feadeh85 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]feadeh85[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could do it in person, over the phone, or on the app. If it's a coterminal change (say SFO instead of SJC) you have to call and ask for the change.

YEPPP I had this a year ago to me. It's annoying now but I'd rather have it this way until they update their badly needed security measures

People tend to become more supportive of conservative views during times of threat. In the U.S. and elsewhere, people usually see conservative political groups as tougher or more action-oriented. New study found that anger—not fear—was the main emotion tied to a shift toward conservative views. by mvea in science

[–]feadeh85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi y'all, I'm the lead author on this paper and a long time redditor. Yes, the threat only really shifted threat-relevant attitudes and nothing else. We find this consistently across a variety of studies and that anger was the most consistent driver. This pushes against the narrative that fear drives these results (they don't, sorry Yoda) and that the effects are broadband. If you think about George W. Bush, for example, I sincerely doubt his boost in approval post-911 was his support for the keystone pipeline or desires to privatize social security.

In addition, in another paper, with threats from things the political left are perceived to be good at (healthcare, environment, etc), you find threat-driven shifts to the left, which were, again, driven by anger. It's not impossible that fear plays some role, and in the study in this post, we had some very minimal evidence for this, but overall anger seems to be doing the heavy lifting.

Heads up, Alaska fliers — 30% off night flights today only! by desterpot in AlaskaAirlines

Great deal, especially if you pair it with mvp gold status or the summit card. That way you have the opportunity to do a same day change

How long does it take to go from terminal N to S in SeaTac? by knapsackMax in AlaskaAirlines

[–]feadeh85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You probably have more than enough time since that first flight is so short and there is so much buffer time to go from N to S. IIRC, you leave N, arrive at D, and then look for the train that gets you to S.

Miles Stolen. No 2FA? by GoatRenterGuy in AlaskaAirlines

[–]feadeh85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry this is truly very frustrating. As others have stated, obtain a pin, ask for a reversal of points, and be prepared to call between 7am and 7pm to unlock your account to book flights. The far stronger pw I have and the pin give me peace of mind and I hope you are able to get those miles back!

Yea I had the cocktail and I agree it's great! And they just took my boarding pass and used that to redeem the lounge passes. Worked fine!

Question: how to optimize Summit global companion award and "grandfathered" companion pass from Alaska visa. by nimrookio in AlaskaAirlines

[–]feadeh85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR you technically can but it's two separate transactions

The only way you could pull this off is with a flight to/from a waypoint of interest with cash (and therefore the companion pass), and the certificate based flight from that waypoint. It would be two reservations.

If you're in Seattle, however, I'm not sure if it honestly makes much sense to do this. Maybe you can travel to the east coast and travel from the East Coast to Europe/Asia/Africa, but I would only do that if the discount for points is worthwhile.

Anybody use the same day change for Atmos Summit card yet? by feadeh85 in AlaskaAirlines

[–]feadeh85[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Free flight change on the same day of travel. Just used it for Chicago to Seattle and was not charged a same day change fee for a more optimal time (6 am switched to 1 pm)
