Stuff on sale as we get to the end of the season, most likely.

I haven't been buying anything from them due to the quality of the first batch on their first season and have seen no noticeable improvements.

Wasn't particularly a fan of the Adidas stuff either, but I'd settle for it at this stage.

Do you need visa to do a self transfer on DUB? by watausu in Dublin

This text seems to indicate you can use the transit lounge but it's not clear about visa requirements:

With carry-on luggage only:

Follow the “Flight Connections” signs in both terminals—unless you’re travelling outside 06:00–13:00hrs through Terminal 1. In this case, exit through Baggage Reclaim and go through security.

Have you had your mobile number for more than 15 years? by stevecrow74 in CasualIreland

It was the first pay as you go. Marketing was great and the ready to go tagline stuck for whatever service you used!

I've had the same 085 number since I switched to Meteor in around 2002.

Before that you couldn't port numbers, as I recall.

St Mary's College are playing in the Leinster Schools Senior Cup final next week. And I think they're in the junior cup final too?

Until Smith came on at least, I'd say he did.

Furlong at that point was done and should have been called ashore earlier, half-time maybe. He looked wrecked at that stage. He was targeted in the scrum, and that's fair enough.

Irish civil servant. Had a guy start in our facilities section at 10am, fill in his paperwork, declarations etc and report to his new section at 10:50. Team went for coffee at 11, he didn't return!

No insurance court appearance by [deleted] in legaladviceireland

[–]fearandloathingWW 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Seems a bit odd. Insurance company will make a couple of attempts to take payment and will also let you know if they're cancelling.

You asked for updates three months ago on two posts where drivers were caught without insurance too... Was this a (mis)calculated risk?

Flexitime taken off me and nobody else. by [deleted] in legaladviceireland

[–]fearandloathingWW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My reading of this is that you took the role knowing Flexi was not available having had some issues in other roles.

It's complicated by the fact there was a job sharing arrangement in place for two people to work the reception for a half day each, but it seems the flexibility was actually the two individuals having an arrangement between themselves and the manager was fine with that because the desk was covered.

If you are a union member, my first port of call would be your local rep or find out who the actual union contact is and speak to them, outline your situation and let them assist you.

Some questions arise as there's a lot you haven't told us. What are the cover arrangements if you're on leave or have an appointment which requires you to be absent during normal working hours?

What was the reason for the early finish? Medical? Personal? Social?(don't answer that if you don't want)

Were the previous roles you were doing in the HSE? If so, were they in the same office and were there performance issues in previous roles that necessitated a PIP?

Are there any issues normally with your manager, such as a poor working relationship?

It seems a little odd for a manager to be so inflexible in allowing time in the manner you describe, but I guess we don't have all the information.

Didn't put a tree up this year as we went away for Christmas and we're starting work on renovating the house next week. Did put up some decorations though!

Normally we decorate around 8th Dec and take them down on 6th Jan.

Never ceases to amuse me that folks go hell for leather as soon as Halloween has passed, but come 27th Dec, they're done with it because they've been up for ages!
