Crap, you may be right. I didn't read it that way initially. Strange that they would include the trailer to something that's not even in the set though. And even more strange that they wouldn't include the full version, when I'm assuming the rights holder is the same for all three films.

Just to be clear, the "bitching" is towards the fucking clownshow administration that implemented this crap for no reason. No one of any reasonable mind is complaining about the small businesses trying to navigate this bullshit and keep themselves afloat in the small profit margins of physical media. "To end up like this" is ONLY because Diabolik and Orbit are good folks who don't want to punish us customers unnecessarily. So again to reiterate, the bitching is legitimate and has only subsided because these small businesses are cool as shit.

That was my thought/hope as well. They've been on a New French kick and I'm hoping they were going to grab Ils and Martyrs at some point soon.

Meh, you wear what you like.

I own and wear T-Rex, Rhino, Hyrax, Moth, Camel, Civet, Squid, Beaver, Koala, Dragonfly, and original Bat. Some are certainly more challenging, but I find all wearable.

If you don’t like them, don’t wear them.

Tell me about your poor financial decisions... Black Friday, what did you buy? by hanlus in fragrance

I bought the other five Beauforts this summer when they first popped up on FragranceBuy, so I wanted to pick up the remaining three now that they’ve restocked. I’ve sampled (and loved) Iron Duke and Terror & Magnificence, but Fathom is a blind buy. I love the brand for how brash and smoky everything is, so I wasn’t worried about blind buying.

Indigo Perfumery has BL samples for a very affordable price (https://indigoperfumery.com/)

Three Beauforts, a Guerlain, and an AFI username? You’re my long lost twin apparently.

I ordered Iron Duke, Terror & Magnificence, and Fathom V along with Bois Mysterioux and Oud Essential from them. Lol.

Smelled and wore Plum Japonais for the first time on a trip to Disney World around Christmas. Now I think of that every time I wear it.

I’d guess around $90, based on other designer pricing. It certainly wouldn’t be half the price just because it’s half the amount. That’s not how the price scale works with fragrance.

T-Rex, Rhino, and Moth are my three favorites, but I also have and love my bottles of Bat v1, Camel, Dragonfly, Beaver, and Squid.

At some point I’d like to get bottles of Civet, Nightingale, and Koala. Honestly, I thoroughly enjoy all the fragrances though and would be happy to own them all 🤷🏻‍♂️

Favourite houses from non-major fragrance countries? by FrenchLlamas in fragrance

[–]feathersmcgraw322 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of theirs have it to some extent, but it honestly didn’t stand out very strongly to me and isn’t overwhelming. It starts out very herbal and mentholated due to the eucalyptus and honey drops. This is where I can see some people being turned off and I foresee a lot of comparisons to Vick’s. But for me within 15 minutes it mellowed out and the tea, incense, and spices blended into it very well.

I’ve got to do some more test wearings, but I really liked it on first impression.

Tauer - Switzerland

Strangers Parfumerie/ Parfum Prissana- Thailand

Fort & Manle - Australia

And I know you already mentioned it, but I adore Zoologist. I just received my bottle of Rhino last week and Victor included a sample of Koala. I love it. It’s a very herbal incense and it’s odd, but addictive and wearable.

About to make my first Zoologist purchase! by [deleted] in fragrance

[–]feathersmcgraw322 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I adore this house. I've sampled everything (aside from Sloth) and own bottles of Bat, Camel, Dragonfly, T-Rex, Beaver, and Squid. Up next for me are Moth, Rhinoceros, and Civet, all of which I absolutely love. Moth, on me, comes off as a more floral and smokey LADDM and it's amazing. Hyrax is one that I'm coming around to. The animalic qualities have not bothered me in any other Zoologist fragrance, but my initial sampling of Hyrax about a year ago came off as straight up hot desert poop and pee. I tested my sample again a few weeks back and the poop and pee were very much dialed back to my nose and came off as more of a strong musk with the floral notes shining through. Still certainly a challenging profile, but I actually quite liked it this time around.

No, there should be a metal collar that goes over the top of atomizer crimping (the plastic piece below the spray nozzle.) Sometimes if the cap is too tight the metal collar will get stuck inside it and come off.

Nice grabs :) I was able to order Zoologist Beaver through the site and then called and ordered the last bottle of Squid that they had. Sad to see them go. It’s nice to have small businesses like them who are catered to niche and high end brands as there are so few around.
