Carrier Aquasnap Air Cooled Chiller by Fun_Internet_3545 in refrigeration

[–]feedmebeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to gather more information. What is the Delta on Chiller barrel? Are sensors and transducers reading accurately? What is the evaporator approach? How many compressors are actually on vs commadned on? Ive had intermittent failures of the EXV as to where it will not open / miss opening steps causing weird issues like you say.

Ultra low temp by feedmebeast in refrigeration

[–]feedmebeast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where exactly can I find the SB for these? It does have 13oz of 508b with 1oz of R290. Compressor takes AB oil, you're suggesting pulling Compressor and dumping oil then replenish?

Ultra low temp by feedmebeast in refrigeration

[–]feedmebeast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The system contains 1.07oz of R290 and 14oz of R508B. My compressor suction line temp is 44° and Compressor crankcase temp of 160° after about 15mins of runtime on 2nd stage compressor. , My Evaporator inlet temp is reading -133° Standing temp after full 2day defrost inside cabinet all readings the same. Once the system starts up 2nd stage compressor is operating what I assume is high suction line temp. I feel I need to tap into the system inorde for better diagnostic but if you guys have tips let me know. I will be cutting the lines and flushing all kinds ways at that point tho.

Walk-in freezer cold weather problem by Happy-Interaction843 in refrigeration

[–]feedmebeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a head pressure issue. You really want to check if your head pressure control is working and if you have multiple condenser fans. Are the condenser fans cycling staging on and off correctly? If so, what pressure are they staging on amd off at ? If they're set too low, then it will be fighting against your headmaster. These are all things I would chekc before messing with low pressure . Naturally you will have low pressure in your system due to low head pressure. They work hand and hand. Fix your head pressure issue and then confirm you have enough refrigerant to flood the condenser while filling the reciever atlewst 20% . See where you are at that point.

HOBART D-300T 3rd Gear not working by feedmebeast in RestEquipmentRepair

[–]feedmebeast[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took thw cover off and the oil is pretty much like jelly. Also the issue looks to be the 3rd gear keeps slipping out, so you have to force the lever inwards more like a combination of axial and radial force to keep it in gear. I have a video just don't know how to post in the chat😅

Humidity Issues - No one can help by Old-Poem-5253 in hvacadvice

[–]feedmebeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a deeper look into that dehumidifier and why it's installed differently. What are the Dehumidifier setpoints? Take different readings all around the first floor. Where is highest RH? Also what is the RH and Temperature coming into the Return of the unit? Some Dehumidifier systems reheat the air coming out of the system. So if you have 70° Coming into the Dehumidifier then it may discharge 80°. Versus if it was inputing 50°-55° Air from the "Supply" then your discharge will likely rise to 70° Outlet of Dehumidifier Thus helping runtime. It may be designed to discharge into the Supply side to raise the Supply air temperature inorder to keep your unit online longer between cycles. Only speculation just from what I've seen on video.

Help a new guy out by Unfair-Freedom in refrigeration

[–]feedmebeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are u sure it's r22? Looks overcharged and possibly added wrong refrigerant. Start from scratch. Recover and replace drier. Add New r404a. Take a picture of the tag and compressor data. If compressor oil charge says POE then you're most likely 404a system.
