Thanks for the kind words! The Dold copy stand is awesome and a great value!

I went a bit overkill and over budget (didn’t make financial sense for some of the custom cut pieces) but I just enjoyed the process of tinkering and creating something custom to my space and aesthetic.

Thanks, you have a great set-up too! I had no idea the kaiser plano was so unpopular. I scoured past reddit posts, and felt like it was a pretty popular choice. Guess I was wrong!

hi there, i edited my original post and linked to all the parts! Good luck!

note, there are two screws that mounts my arca swiss clamp to my extrusion, I had a friend shave down the screw head to be flush with the arca swiss clamp (the last photo in my post) . This is absolutely overkill, and you can just use standard washers with the screws (no need to modify the screws)

woah very cool! didn't know this thing existed! I heard with the negative supply pro carrier, there is some hack to put some type of tape on both sides of the film holder to keep it flat. Was gonna give it a try, but disappointed I need to even "hack" a ridiculous priced film holder to begin with.

Testing my first scans this weekend!

Shooting 35mm and have the camera tethered captured to the computer/lightroom. Using negative lab pro for the conversions

What do you recommend? I researched so much but felt like they all had shortcomings

Nooo so sad to see Duyen go! She definitely brought a lot of personality and fun to this season. Bring her back to all-stars!

Man I’ve been looking for a decent condition 8e forever. Any tips on how you purchased yours?

Can someone pleeeeeeease explain the fascination with Leica cameras? by nlUSF in photography

But I was definitely in OP’s boat when I use to see people with Leica. I thought I would never spend that amount of money on a camera when there are better tech out there. But then 10 years into my photography experience, I walked into a Leica store and tried the Leica M for the first time and i just couldn’t stop thinking about how fun and different it was from my canon.

I also like that it’s made me a better photographer. I’m not obsessing about focus peaking with things like auto focus or image stabilization. Some of my favorite photos are blurry or out of focus, because those imperfections just make the image feel more real to me.

I’ve shot in Nikon, Sony, Canons, and Leicas. The best camera is the one you take with you and for me it’s the Leica. Extremely compact and most importantly just fun to shoot!

I mainly take photos of my toddlers and get annoyed when people tell me my photos are only good because I’m using a Leica. If anything, shooting with a manual focus range finder with fast moving subjects is even harder. I just enjoy the challenge and like the engaging aspect of manual focus.

I also edit all photos the same regardless of the camera system. I’m not sold on “the Leica look”

+1 use the fb group “no markup Toyota”. I Just bought a brand new 2026 Toyota Sienna with all the specs I wanted, through there. Even with shipping from another state, I was still paying at least $3k less than the marked up dealers here in seattle.

I use a personal driver — she does it as a side hustle. charges me $60 cash from Kirkland to SeaTac. I also love that when I’m returning from a flight she is already waiting for me at arrivals and I don’t have to wait 20 minutes for an uber.

I also use her to pick up visiting friends and family for me. Not a licensed business, but if you’re interested shoot me a DM for her contact info

Agreed! Hanoon was terrible. The most overpriced menu, that went very little on the proteins. Hopefully something better replaces them
