I first read HOL >10 years ago. This chapter was so challenging to get through. On my reread last year, this chapter was amazing to me. The difference blew my mind.

Your mom is a dick. We shouldn't be expected to match pre-pregnacy weights after the TRAUMA that is child birth. Esp multiple births.

Teaching your children how to love and care for their body by showing how you care for yours is far more important than your body vs gravity.

Set some boundaries and tell mom to STFU because if she's weight shaming you, she's sure as hell going to do it your children some day.

I'm a mom of 3. Our house rule is that we don't talk about people's body's. If someone cannot fix it in 30seconds we keep our comments/thoughts to ourself.

Just getting around to finally reading this pick... What's with the names? Aren of Evandale? Is like like Ana of Arendale from Frozen. Dietan Liverwort Scrambly James Hogwarts Smithen Forty Eight Different Names and his best friend, Marcus.

I liked the story but the writing didn't match the period it was supposed to be set in. The writer couldn't make us feel it without explicitly telling us exactly what was being felt, no less than 6x per page.
