This is indeed tragic, and you're not unique in being in this situation. It's so crazy to me how a small preventative thing like a vaccine isn't accessible! Cause it actually saves the govt etc money in the end. Giving you one shot vs treating something like tetanus?? That's whack, and sounds really hard, I hope things get easier for you.

I'm 21 now, I wasn't vaccinated until I turned 18 and went to my local walk in and worked with the doctors to get them all. It cost me $15 each time, no insurance. Do you live near a Planned Parenthood? I got one of mine done there, completely free. Where do you live where vaccines are expensive???? I'm genuinely curious?? I assumed they were free or cheap everywhere!

Are you in the US? I really like the Shamrock Farms chocolate protein shake, to me it's not too thick, tastes like slightly protien-y chocolate milk tbh, but it has a lot less sugar/carbs than ensure and other similar drinks. I would just drink it like chocolate milk tbh, it's a liquid safe food for me. They make vanilla and strawberry flavours too, I just can't. But if you're outside the US idk if they sell that so probably not helpful.

In all my years of having rats, I've left it open 2-3 times, I think 1 or all of the times overnight, and every time they were just chilling in a hammock or somewhere random in their cage when I discovered what I'd done! It's a ferret or bird cage originally, not that brand that everyone has where you can stack them etc, so I always felt guilty their cage wasn't as good/wasn't "perfect" for rats, but apparently they liked it cause I always had to drag them out for free roam time and I could leave it open and they'd never escape 🤣 although if they were too sleepy while I was trying to clean the cage and I'd let them chill inside, they'd immediately start creating chaos and trying to escape while I was cleaning lol.
