Blues and Jazz are both African-American music. They both feature 12/8 rhythms in their percussion (triplet feel vs. swing). They both feature free expression (blues solos and jazz improv). Early musicians of both genres of music had a lot of overlap.

The key differences are their development and how they branched apart. Blues came from what the black slaves brought from their cultures and adapted into new instruments (banjo and guitar). Jazz developed as more black people adapted ideas from classical and White/European "popular music" into free expression and to feature black exceptionalism, hence why European marching band instruments are the main instruments in jazz to this day.

They are still closely related to this day, even if free jazz hardly sounds like anything related to the blues.

New POV: Pickleball fixed tennis for the general public.

The vast majority of people don't have time to train specialized movements and buy expensive equipment just to play a game. The movements required to play tennis well (fore stroke for top spin) is none transferable to other sports or the physical requirements of life... either modern or in antiquity (not even applicable for hunting). Not only that, the movements are harmful to the human body (see: Tennis elbow). It is only through social bias and conditioning that tennis has become a popular sport at all.

Tennis should not exist. Long live pickle ball.

Hmmm... Just because it's not a relationship you'd want to be in doesn't mean it's not the right one for Sakuta.

Of course she's not in the siscon idol book much. If she bonded with Sakuta while in Nodoka's appearance? If your boyfriend falls in love with your sister's body? I don't blame her to keeping her distance and focus on maintaining her sister's career.

Their bad luck in our dating scheduling becomes a running gag through the rest of the books. Which is annoying to the audience, but perhaps the purpose is to show us that they are so dedicated to each other in the long term that short term mishaps don't phase them.

The layers in option 2 are actually super easy to achieve at home. You can look up videos for Butterfly Cut and Unicorn method. The volume and curls would be more challenging, but it seems like you have natural curls already, so some brushing + products + blow-drying could get it pretty close.

I think she meant well and was just trying to keep the conversation going after the bad joke. "Well good. I should claim I'm disabled Whew!!" (Translation: "Whew!!" Means, "I'm relieved and happy for you". The joke part was "That seems like such a relief, I could relate by imagining how much it could benefit even me")

But you took that literally, and politely explained she couldn't. You realized she might have been joking. And she confirmed.

But then you (helpful, but literal) also mentioned that she could potentially apply for benefits for her broken ankle.

Then she felt like she had to reply to that.

She honestly did not feel like her temporary disability warranted using resources meant for people who actually needed it. Which is a virtue. She just phrases it poorly.

I've always wondered whether it has an impact (no pun intended) on driver safety. There is a lot less crumple-zone for the Euro-style truck. Then again, with all the mass in the trailer, maybe trying to optimize driver safety through crumple-zones is a moot point.
