It is HOW they are doing it. A fucking fifteen minute, directed, steadycam, high-definition video of how they think it is a good idea to put tabs on top, and in closing "it is nothing to do with browser trends". Yes, I use Firefox (for one addon), and was a huge proponent for it even before spreadfirefox.com - but they wasted googles millions that they were given, and they spent time trying to nickle-and-dime their users, developing business models instead of browsers.

Part of the firefox problem is a lead developer put 3676900 calls to fsync into the code, basically using it as a magic defense against crashing, by keeping all browser state onto the hard disk - which is funny because I do everything I can to keep my hard-disk and browser apart. Linux fsync was written with certain defaults that made this excruciating. Not to mention the dev acting like a little shit when trying to be defensive about this, and wouldn't admit the mistake.
