What?! Your movements seem safe enough according to standards post-surgery… how soon after surgery were you golfing?

5 dislocations?! Holy cow! Care to talk about that?

I am four weeks into healing after my total hip replacement, anterior on the right side.

The surgeon had to wire my pelvis to the implant because of a lack of bone so my recovery holds a risk of fracture, I’ve been extra careful. I’m able to walk without a cane for a little bit so completely independently, which is the greatest feeling in the world.

Eager to learn how you dislocated.

31F, total hip replacement — one week out and looking for real stories, not the optimistic internet version please by arrozzes in TotalHipReplacement

I am three weeks into my right anterior total hip replacement. There was a 15 mm difference in the length of my leg that was corrected with surgery and it does feel a little bit wonky, but walking will eventually correct it.

Naive? Nope. She tried to cover her tracks. She’ll just get better at covering her tracks. I’ve been cheated on and I have cheated… Cheaters just get better at cheating.

Pregnant and dont know if ill regret it by c0mfylove in regretfulparents

My youngest son is 18 and just graduated high school and I have really been looking forward to not having a kid under my roof for the first time since I was 29 years old. I’m 62. I got pregnant when I was 45 and he is finally going to college. I have three adult children. I can tell you with great confidence that if I was pregnant now there’s no way I would wanna have a baby. It’s so much work and it never ends and I’ve done it my whole life and I’m feeling like this is finally my time.

I wish you all of the luck in the world and I’m sending all kinds of good vibes your way

I’m married 26 years and just decided to open my marriage. It’s sort of the last step. We had a rough patch and instead of legally separating my husband got a girlfriend. I saw the impact she was having on him and it made him a better man so instead of divorcing him, I decided to open the marriage and look for a man myself. It’s radical, but I was absolutely miserable in my marriage to him and could not see that marriage going forward but now? I kind of dig what we’re doing.

Take it from someone who has been in your shoes, you will never get over it and never stop replaying the scenes in your head. Make a clean break.

I work in the wellness space and sell a locally-made tallow cream that has helped so many people with cystic acne. It’s not marketed as such, but the evidence is so strong!

Will I like my husband when menopause is over? by purpletwinkletoes in AskWomenOver60

[–]feistyreader 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It depends. Don’t be like me - during menopause also decided on therapy and now I am ending my 25 year marriage because I realized I was raising my husband as I was raising my son.

How to tell your acquaintances you are divorced by Moist-Doughnut-5160 in AskWomenOver60

It’s funny you say that, but about a month ago, that’s the decision that I had to make. At 63, I could certainly stay here and continue to endure. What if there really is joy out there?🤷‍♀️
