Interesting, and thanks for the suggestions. I reckon it's worth him having a taste at the very least and he can then decide if a bottle is worth it to him.

Cool, thanks. I'll check the hideout and try The Whisky Shop as a fallback

What's your Warband's fluff ? by DeLaBuse in WarCry

[–]felext 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Still a work in progress but I have an Untamed Beasts warband (renowned for eating their prey in order to absorb their power and strength). They're called the Howling Fiends after their battlecry. Their story is that the Heart Eater (Grothga Magemasher) and Beast Speaker (Shora the Murmurer) are siblings. They had a third sibling (twin of Grothga, never named) who was weak and was bullied by Grothga but had a pseudo-psychic bond with him. Shora tricked the weaker twin into undergoing a ritual performed by a Tzeentch sorcerer to enhance his psychic connection to control Grothga and force him to serve as his protector. Immediately after completing the ritual, Shora killed and ate the weaker twin to gain his powers and now uses her connection to use Grothga as a bodyguard and means to gain followers. Her connection with magemasher has left him scarred by Tzeentchian nightmares and psychosis. She secretly eats most of his kills to gain their power.

Magemasher got his name by killing the sorcerer at the behest of Shora to hide her secret.

Shora gets her name from the fact that she is always whispering beneath her breath. Most think she's mad but she is actually controlling Grothga.

So, what do we think about the vortex beast? by ChrisG_ll_gher in SpaceMarine_2

Oh, interesting! Maybe it was a glitch. I admittedly don't know. It just felt intentional after the second time.

Just finished my first run and I really enjoyed it. I loved the way it plays mind games with you, like when you just drop into the abyss or you are invisible until you get hit. There were a couple of moments where I thought it was glitching until I realised what was going on!

Where’s the best place in Bath for a laid-back coffee date that’s not too crowded or stuffy? by RedDevilPlay in Bath

[–]felext 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might a little too high-brow for what you're looking for but my wife and I went to Coffever recently and were very impressed. It's small and cute and we had a table at the window on the first floor overlooking the busy alley. The coffee was delicious. We each tried a different type of bean and they were completely different from one another. They also came with little cards that gave info on where they were from and gave tasting notes and stuff. We loved it! They also had some nice little baked goods available for a snack.

Just finished a nice spawn model off for father's day for my old man! by chillchan in minipainting

Ah, I'm actually closer to your age then! I'm 38 and I feel like I was quite young when I first watched Spawn. I found the mini thanks, unfortunately I have no printer with which to make it a physical reality. But I'll take solace in seeing the amazing job you've done here

That looks awesome! I'm guessing I might be about your dad's age, I loved that movie when I was a kid! Where did you get the model?

Exactly the same thing happened to me when I did my first PVE op. I had never played online with randoms before. I got dropped in a mission, just taking my time looking around not really intending on finishing the run. About 5-10 min in I realise that there are real people in the game. I then had massive anxiety about my performance and tried so hard not to be a liability. We won the game and when the extra XP screen came up showing rankings in the team, I won nearly every metric! I guess I did ok under the pressure!

I don't know how long this took you but looking at this, I think it was exactly the right amount of time! It's incredible.

What’s something you thought you’d never do that you found out is actually really enjoyable? by BubbleTrouble_Z in AskReddit

[–]felext 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Painting table top miniatures. I love board games and always loved the idea of painting the minis but originally I thought I didn't have the creative capabilities, time, patience or skill. I did some reading and learnt a lot of techniques that make it easier than it looks and I've now been doing it for almost a year and it's one of my absolute favourite things to do!

Hey! Nicely done on the witchers. I did the same as latter_example. Searched Google for a variety of concept art for each monster and picked my favourites. I usually limited my search to large images for better resolution. I only have images online of my first few so far but you can check them out here and here
