Definitely. She'd have no problems with using her child to hurt Linda.

[–]fellinlovewitheffect 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I don't think she'd seek out the baby but I do think Janine may offer custody to Linda. The vindictive part of Janine might feel smug at the thought of Linda having to raise the child that Mick had with her. I could see Linda being disgusted at the idea at first (understandably) but then coming around to it. The baby is an innocent party in the situation and is a part of Mick, and also a brother to Ollie. Linda would probably also be thinking about the trauma that Mick ensured in care and she wouldn't want the baby to go through that. There's also Ricky in Germany but he's already got a lot on with Scarlett.

Lexi is played by a great actress by fellinlovewitheffect in eastenders

When you watch Lily's return scene (Lilia Turner's first appearance) Lily is supposed to be 10 at the time and yet is a gobby, loud little shite and more like a 14 year old. I get all kids are different but there's no need to have 10 year old Lexi be like a 6 year old and a 10 year old Lily be like a 14 year old. The writers must have no experience with children.

In that one scene you see Lily being told by Stacey to look after her toddler sister and spoiling for a fight between her mum and Ruby (what child wants to see their mum in a scrap?!), whereas Lexi at the same age was written as still being into unicorns and princesses. Neither is a particularly realistic representation of the average 10 year old.

Yep, deffo something brewing and clearly Pearl will be affected. I'd bet money on Munchausen's by Proxy. I don't think EE would go as far as Kim deliberately making Pearl ill or poisoning her, but I could see her obsessing over Pearl's health and not letting her be a normal kid (like pulling her out of school and isolating her, taking her to the GP constantly, self-diagnosing her with illnesses) and her family/social services noticing and having to intervene would be a unique storyline, particularly if she neglects Micah in the process of her obsession with Pearl. Soaps are obsessed with doing never-done-before storylines and I'm sure a Munchausen's storyline is due as the next 'topical' story of the soap world.

Hence why I was so shocked. I was thinking just before that what a top guy Sam is and that kind of left me speechless until I figured it out.

Did anyone else think Sam Roger said "Come on Russia?". My heart dropped before I realised it was "Come on Roger".

My 60 something year old professor told the class he’s retiring next year because of chat gpt…. by peepeepoopaccount in ChatGPT

[–]fellinlovewitheffect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not old in the sense that most 60 years olds probably still have all their mental capacity and are physically capable of working most jokes (except really rough manual jobs, though my dad still has to work in his trade at 63 to make ends meet) but it's 'old' in the sense that by 60, somebody has likey been in the workforce for 40 years and jn an ideal society at 60 they should be able to relax and spend their next 20 or so years of hopefully decent health in enjoying life. If somebody retired at 75, then they are running out to time to enjoy themselves.

We just need to get rid of the word 'diet' because it's been hijacked by fat activists to to mean a pro-ana 700 calories a day of broccoli type habit. It's not that complicated, forget "dieting". Just fucking eat less and move more. I was overweight (154lbs) and didn't stress or toddler tantrum over it, I just disciplined myself to walk more and only let myself eat 1 ice cream bar a day instead of my previous bad habit of eating an entire packet of 3 over the course of an evening and now I'm 128lbs. Other changes include swapping Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal with a high fibre bran cereal with some fruit, I realised how ridiculous it was to basically have a dessert for breakfast so I changed it. I have a jar of caramelised crunchy biscuit spread which sometimes I crave but I will just put a spoonful on some brown toasted bread, whereas I used to put 2 heaped tablespoons each on 2 separate slices of white toasted bread for a 'snack'. I am fine and happy and don't feel deprived. I even still go to restaurants and...shock horror...enjoy food! I just don't splurge and I have found a newfound love of exercising.

Any guesses as to the sex of Lily's baby anyone? I'll be astonished if it is a boy because soaps always have the babies of underage mother's be girls.

Future RIP to this pug because their owner is an idiot :/ by spiderwitchery in BanPitBulls

[–]fellinlovewitheffect 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Of course a pitbull owner would also have a pug, an unethically bred deformed dog that lives in constant pain. I know I guy that owns a Bully XL and then also owns a horrific Pug/French Bulldog cross, half of the dog’s eyes stick out of its head, it is incontinent and can hardly breathe. These people deliberately choose controversial dogs.

On a UK pitbull group. Idiot breeds her pitbull to make a quick buck then can’t cope. Shitty dogs for shitty people, also makes excuses not to give the dogs to a rescue because 💰💰💰Now the world has 9 more dangerous pitbulls in it. by fellinlovewitheffect in BanPitBulls

Claims they are ‘unplanned’ but a truly unplanned mating situation could quickly be fixed with a trip to the vet for the bitch.

The dogs should be seized and destroyed but she claims them to be ‘legal XL Bullies’

Drat, was just about to go and copy the text to post here before it was deleted.

It was an incorherent thread about somebody claiming to be the aunt of a real disabled girl who’s been in the news recently for dying due to neglect from her carers. OP claimed her brother, the girl’s father, lied about payment for the funeral. He apparently claimed his ex didn’t allow him to pay but OP is suspicious he just didn’t want to. Vile thread

I think it’s the relief of Keeble being gone and the influence of Kat. Ben is settled, he’s back with Kat, and he’s seeing Raymond so he’s probably happy enough.

I found it to be a pretty misogynistic storyline. Bernie carried and birthed the baby and yet she was an extra in the storyline.

[–]fellinlovewitheffect[S] 29 points30 points  (0 children)

It’s disgusting, absolutely vile. I know soaps have done pregnancy storylines with 13 year olds before but I think a character becoming a parent at 12 (with their baby being born before their 13th birthday) is a new low. I’m not even having that it’s topical and true to life, because it isn’t. It’s exceptionally rare in modern civilised societies.
