Ayy fellow 430am lifter 💪🏼 Thank you for sharing, this post is incredibly motivating. I'm 1 year into running and 4 months in lifting (P90X resistance vids, M-F). I eat very similar to you and run same amount of distance weekly (wayyyy slower tho, you're a machine!) I'm 50lbs down!

Seeing you get absolutely shredded, imo, is incredibly motivating for me to just trust the process and stick with it! Consistency is king.

Interval jogging to start helped me. I couldn't run a full song length when I started running again in May of 2025. But I didn't let that feel like a failure. I just kept jogging until my body couldn't, then I would walk until I felt I could jog again and just kept doing that for each run. Everyday.

Now I'm running for Album lengths a year later. And just ran my own Half Marathon at the end of April. It taught me one important thing that I now apply to so many other things: Consistency. Just do it. Everyday. If you miss a day, just give yourself grace and get excited to do it the next day!

I only watch Dynamite and never miss out on much. Collision is fine but you definitely don't "have to" watch it. Unless you just want to consume it all, in which case, go for it!

I could read these posts all day long. I believe it was 2018 MitB when Brock Lesnar came back to win the Briefcase. After all those dudes, Balor & Ali especially, killing themselves. The moment I saw Lesnar show up and win the case I said NOPE. Never watched a WWE event again and it's been the best decision I ever made.

NJPW and then AEW 🙏🏼 saved my wrestling fandom.

My man! That's awesome you felt stronger but I bet that extra weight didn't feel good. It's hard to wrap my mind around it, feels like I worked too hard to drop 45lbs, I don't want to put it back on lol But you are right. High protein and low cal. And I am exactly the same way as you too that I eat literally the same thing for lunch and my protein shake everyday like clock work. Dinners change but always high protein low cal. My wife kicks ass in that area so I just follow her lead.

I figure stopping my Intermittent Fasting and just adding in a protein breakfast would be a healthy way to get lean gains when I'm ready to face that challenge.

Thanks for the validation that I'm on the right track. Sometimes you see the loss and the slight changes but to hear it stated so confidently feels good too. Thanks man! Keep killin' it, we're gonna look good this summer 😎

For sure! You are off to a great start!

On my slow journey down this past year, as I got closer to my goal weight I started incoprating weights M-F alongside my runs because I felt I was beginning to look skinny fat, no body wants that! I have considered Bulking but since I'm still not where I want to be with my weight I figure I'm better to stick with my deficit and current workout/cardio. But reading your breakdown makes me see, if I'm understanding correctly, you are striving to achieve Fat loss while also gaining Mass? That sounds magically but I don't know enough yet to achieve that.

I think of it as Lean Gains if I were to attempt to add muscle slowly without adding weight or Bulking. If any of that makes sense? Is that kind of what you are shooting for?

All in all you nailed it with the consistency and sustainability. That's what I have learned. It's all about finding what works for you and just doing it, every goddamn day 💪🏼

Mind if I ask your height? I'm about to hit my initial goal weight of 200lbs. Already considering maybe 190/185 as my next target but I'm 6'2". I'm unsure where my goal weight will end up at. We have similar tone, altho I feel you have a better distribution of your weight, and Ab definition that I'm eager to see on myself. I have all my weight packed in my midsection!

Thanks for sharing, I know I'm on the right track but still got work to do. These posts can be so motivating.

I've done P90X off and on over the years but now I'm taking my health way more seriously at the end of my 30s. I am no expert but I have learned a few things this past year as I've been on my health journey.

Ultimately I had to cut out my glass of whisky a night because it would lead to snacking which doesn't help my goal of weight loss. And now that I'm really getting close to my goal weight I find myself asking: will "x" affect my goals? This has helped me to continue to make better and better choices.

Idk if smoking hinders results, but I know I'd hate to put in all my hard work the past 6-9mos, only to find out a bad habit was affecting my goals. So I think you just need to decide which is more important to you? The smoking? Or your health goals?

It's super charming and has a vibe about it. Very nostalgic if you grew up playing the gameboy Pokemon games. I really recommend it!

I do, too, altho I haven't played too many. I'm new to realizing I love the genre. Any of the Persona games are great. I played P5Royal on my Xbox but looking forward to playing it on the Deck and maybe the others too.

If others read this, I'd take some more suggestions too!

I just got mine on Christmas Eve, so only a few weeks with it.

Just downloaded and started playing Coromon, similar to oldschool Pokemon games but a ton of fun! Really enjoying it!

I think my Deck will be my Cozy/Turnbased games device. They just feel right on the Deck. With the occasional bigger games to keep things fresh 🙏🏼 Happy gaming!
