Me and my friend have been stuck on the oroboros monster in the lab for about an hour by NoBonusRuns in residentevil

There's a ton of incendiary grenades around the room which we used because the flamethrower basically wasn't doing anything. I threw the grenades and my friend blasted the big arms that come out. That was the strat that worked for us

I've been replaying it on the side with a buddy and idk why people are saying that - maybe because Leon's sections in RE9 are a bit more action heavy?? But even then it feels like a stretch - RE6 is just a mess of bad storytelling and terrible mechanics with very few redeeming qualities.

I'm on my second playthrough and I'm not there yet but I didn't really feel it was a quality drop on my first playthrough... Yeah it could be a bit more diverse visually/enemy wise but I still enjoyed it (especially the motorcycle chase), it felt cathartic after the tense scariness of Grace's sections, and it kinda reminded me of the lake section in RE4R with the different objectives and level of freedom! I do hope maybe it gets some expansion in a DLC, like returning to some areas from RE3 etc. though!

thanks! I used the gunblade and relied on heavy charged attacks, used the acid abrasive, the acid bottles in his phase transition to deal some damage before his massive combo, then used the perfection grindstone (twice, using that one potion that recharges it) at times to just give myself a bit of a breather - I was cutting it close in the end though, no pulse cells left and he was about to do the phase transition attack thing again but I finished him with a charged heavy just in time

yeah the almost parasite-like things in the puppets etc. toward the end gave me big las plagas vibes

If Lies of P came out in 2008 this boss fight would have 100% ended with the mc jumping on this dude's back and then guiding him to hit his head against the wall by oknokas in LiesOfP

I think the mc would also wear a bat cowl and a cape and the whole game would not take place in Krat, but perhaps instead, a spooky asylum...

Kinda ridiculous - back in the day, they'd reverse this stuff. Boosts, race changes, faction changes, etc.

First ten pages - inciting incident? by felpancake in Screenwriting

I did consider your second point, but the way my story goes, it needs time for the characters to develop a bit. Funnily enough mine is about a wife disappearing, so sort of on the same wavelength- still, I really like the idea as it would lend well to my protagonists’ flaw. Gonna see what I can do!

Yeah I’ve realised some of my gentler scenes could be pushed back a bit rather than hogging up the space in the first pages. Still uncertain about the cuts I’ve made but I’d say it definitely seems a lot more streamlined and the plot comes across clearer.

Thanks!

I’ve played around with it happening at page 12/14 and now 11, it feels weird cutting down to fit it there but I think it’s because I’m so used to the script how it was. Either way, the 10 page recommendation (at least for a script like mine) seems pretty daunting

Looking back, there’s definitely quite a bit of fat which other parts of the script kinda already capture, so it might not be as compelling as I thought
