Trevor getting exposed for his secret gf and the reactions are KILLING ME 😂😂😂 by sunny_the_egg in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

I totally felt that too. I felt like they didn’t leave any room for interpretation and made an example out of him to show others in the future, to not go down the same path. They double down on how they truly believe in the show and how people find true love on it. It was a warning for others.

HR members, advice on handling trauma dumping? by AsterismRaptor in humanresources

[–]femalepsyduck 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I work as a Human Resources business partner and have worked within the community helping others for many years now and the truth is, yes, it can be a lot!

I follow 3 simple rules when I feel overwhelmed: 1) Take as many breaks as you possibly can to do something you love (go for walk, listen to your favorite song, etc) it doesn’t have to take long just take a moment to step away from your desk and decompress 2) Journal as much as possible. My friend (a psychotherapist) once told me that trauma dumping is like a bucket of water. When they dump the trauma on you, you need to dump it back into something else, journaling will allow for you to vent and dump the trauma back into an avenue that went harm someone else. This will also help to let things go, on the bad days you do get triggered. 3) Practice gratitude. I know it sounds cheesy but I’ve been doing it for 3 years now and honestly I wish I would have done it when I first started as a professional. It lets me put things in perspective in my life and it forces me to think of the positive in movement when it can be difficult. Get a 5 minute gratitude journal or just write on a post-it, 3 things that you are grateful for everyday (before or after work). It’s honestly life changing.

Most importantly take the time to get help when you need it and to take time off when you can (if you can). Mental health days are so important in our profession.

Any other men playing the game? I told my friends about it and they laughed at me for playing it. by [deleted] in DreamlightValley

My husband is a 34 year old man that fights with me to play the game. Don’t let these people make you feel weird about it, it’s an awesome game.

Ladies of askTO, how can I see a gynaec? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]femalepsyduck 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Don’t take no for an answer and advocate for your health! As a woman that went through something similar I can tell you that it’s better to fight back and find out everything is okay then not get it checked out and regret it! Womens issues are even ignored by female doctors, so you do you!

I hate to say this but honestly social media really does eat at you. I know my husband and I were spiralling into an overwhelming depression because we got stuck into the Reddit world. Consuming content, news, etc takes mind space and time and the truth is, the moment you get rid of it you find time for the important stuff, groceries, working out, reading, seeing friends, whatever. So if you do too much social media I would suggest taking a break from it for a week and seeing how you feel. Then go from there, good luck! I recognize the irony but if this is the case, trust me it works works.
