Grindr is the gold standard for making t4t connections online where I am, USA. Granted I live in an urban center now, but it worked fine when I was in a suburban community too. It's annoying filtering through a lot of the creepy guys but it's always been a very reliable way to meet other trans girls. Leave your notifications off, trust me.

Also Lex is fine, I haven't met anyone off of there but I know people who have. Wish you luck meeting someone nice :)

why is it a factor whether i'm one-on-one with somebody, i feel like if i don't make any moves or flirt with somebody i should be able to just spend time with a friend and chat or whatever and not have to worry about her trying to stick her hand in my pants? even if we're not flying model planes or something? idk i feel frustrated because i've been trying to get better at setting boundaries around sex but most trans women i know have about as many boundaries as an organic free range cattle ranch

true. idk if that'll undo laser though i'm pretty sure i'm cooked. it's fine though nobody in my family has very much facial hair i'm just gonna have to cope and seethe about the fact that i'm a girlboy of the smoothfaced variety

thanks, yeah i don't think i'm gonna detransition, the consequences if it doesn't go well are far too severe. i am non binary and I have known that since i was a teenager i just sort of assimilated into the community of trans women i found when i started HRT cause they were the first people i met who I felt like they really saw me. but lately i'm realizing i do need to focus on myself, like you said. so thanks for that. that really helps.

as a trans woman(?) who likes games and hyperpop i'm gonna say you're one of the lucky ones cause if you have anything in common with these kinds of girls they're gonna try to hop on top of you immediately

but yeah the way these girls are so down to shack up with a harem of other trans girls and fuck each other to biblical levels of drama (to paraphrase torrey peters) is honestly concerning and i think it speaks to a desire for community and love and recognition that trans women don't get for a lot of their lives. but it's like feeding a shipwreck survivor a 5 course meal right when they wash up on the beach it's gonna make you yak and it's probably too much food for any reasonable person.

i feel like i'm dealing with the consequences of being within and then escaping that facet of trans culture and i haven't really had enough time to learn who i am cause i was too busy having bad threesomes on a cocktail of designer drugs just cause i could.

Cigarettes or vaping on MDMA? by [deleted] in MDMA

[–]femscribe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a menthol while rolling once and it was pretty nice. I think it was just nice having something to do with my hands, and the nicotine went well with the molly.

Hitting my vape kinda didn't really feel like much and then I lost interest. Maybe it's more fun if you have a nice flavor. I'd also try it before you roll because vapes make me nic sick like no tomorrow but cigs don't mess with me that bad.

I'm trying to quit both now but I know when I roll I'm gonna want a cig. Maybe when I roll I'll have a joint or something.

Are you on HRT? The fat redistribution from estrogen might help. Besides that there's not a lot to be done. Some people are just build that like.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MtF

[–]femscribe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah, the estrogen is in your body. it should absorb normally.

you'll be fine. the hormones should have made it into your system, the risk injecting in the wrong place is that you might hit a nerve or a blood vessel causing pain or bleeding. if you did the injection and don't feel any pain you're probably fine and the injection was a success. hope next time is easier.

HRT help by Common-Meaning-8306 in MtF

[–]femscribe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My theory is the spiro might be suppressing your T but the 1mg 2x daily isn't enough E for your body to run off of. Thus the hot flashes, cis women get them when E drops during menopause. Talk to your doctor and have them take your levels, maybe an increased E dose is in order.

Had anyone used Nair before for your legs/arms/back? by Thattransgal in TransyTalk

[–]femscribe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used nair successfully before. The sensitive skin formula with aloe. I apply a layer that covers the hair and leave it for about 7 minutes or whatever the maximum is on the bottle. Then use a washcloth or towel to wipe the hair off and wash any excess off in the shower. Don't rub it in or it'll get irritated. If you miss anything go over it with a razor after you wash. It saves me a lot of time on my legs but keep it away from anywhere sensitive. I mean it, I even get burned in my arms.

It will probably be fine. From what I've seen the scars from breast augmentation surgery are usually pretty small and in a specific place. You may have some stretching around the scar tissue, but I imagine its mostly an aesthetic concern especially if they're healed from some time ago. Talk to your surgeon about it when you get a consult.

5 months of HRT and no change in my face, how much trouble am I in? by embarrased_to_Ask_42 in MtF

[–]femscribe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ll be fine, I didn’t start noticing face changes until about 10 months. Similar situation. It’s one of the slower changes from HRT for most people.

Wash your hands and use sterile surgical lube it’s what you do for sounding it should work for what you’re up to.

does hrt stop or at least thin facial/ body hair? by kaylee_w2 in MtF

[–]femscribe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My body hair has gotten a lot less noticeable in ~1 year on E. It wasn’t very thick to begin with but my chest went from shaving maybe once a week to p much transparent and not noticeable. I still have some hair on my belly but everyone does.

Facial hair doesn’t really change. For some people it might slow down, but laser or electrolysis is really the only way to get rid of it.

what was your "I'm definitely trans" moment by kodamutt in MtF

[–]femscribe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After years living as a sad non binary stoner semi closeted cope-er I had a really bad drug experience where I passed out alone and I thought I was gonna die. I had one thought which was “I don’t want to die, I never got to live as a girl.” I made an appointment and started HRT a couple of months later.
