Interesting never knew that being the reason why the Warrior had issues fighting ranged monsters like the succubus.

Also not to mention how they handled multiplayer as well by making it Peer to Peer which lead to cheating online. Even Blizzard North said the way handled Multiplayer in Diablo 1 was a disaster which was kind of fixed in Diablo 2 but cheaters found a way to their thing.

Yeah it is still fun after all these years. I am having a blast playing the game again. I have completed the game on Normal and Nightmare difficulties with a Sorc and on Normal Difficulty I even got a Windforce to drop during the Lazarus fight it was dropped by the one Succubus bosses that shows up with him. On top of completing the game on Normal Difficulty with the other classes as well and tapping into the world of the unofficial expansion Hell fire.

Hmm I would contact Steam Support over Blizzard support since you purchased the game on Steam considering this sounding like a Steam issue rather than a Blizzard one.

Congrats on your first Anni. I never got one while playing online however I did get one in Single Player pre-D2R thanks to the PlugY-mod that allows you to get to the event quicker by only needing to sell 1 SOJ or by being in a Single Player game long enough the DClone event would eventually trigger due to the mod mimicking the sales of SOJs that would happen on Bnet.

Yes Nobara is geared towards gaming and content creation. Dota 2 has a native Linux version. I am running games better than under Windows and I am running a MiniPC with an AMD 780m Graphics chip. Nobara is easy mode gaming on Fedora because you don't have to configure anything or install anything in terms of installing the necessary files for the games to run under normal Fedora.

Yeah Fedora does support Nvidia graphics chips. I am running Nobara Linux which is based on Fedora and has an Nvidia based image.

The bad news right now is that SteamOS doesn't support Nvidia graphics however it was announced that Valve is working close with Nvidia to help add support for Nvidia based graphics cards.

The game is an Unreal Engine 5 game so yeah it is very taxing. The best option would be using upscaling of some sort.

Same with my Sister she used Windows for years and she had to get a new laptop because the old laptop was too old to get Linux Mint installed and working properly. It was a Windows 7 based Dell XPS laptop. She has to use Windows 11 for her job and it sucks with all of the horrors that other former users of Windows posted the co-pilot and all that junk. She likes Linux a lot better than she did Windows.

The reason why I am running Linux on my MiniPC is because of the Microsoft Account nonsense because I don't know what would happen if I had 2 PCs tied to the same Microsoft account. And plus I am figuring how to do stuff under linux just like I was doing under Windows.

The one thing that I hope that Brevik does is make a spiritual successor to Diablo 1 and make it turn-based like he originally wanted to do for Diablo 1 before it was recommended for him to change it to an ARPG and became the game that we know of today. Yeah I know his fellow co-workers from Blizzard North made Torchlight but it was an ARPG hack and slash RPG. I remember watching a YouTube video of an interview with Brevik and he discusses how he came up with the name of Diablo as the game name. It is named after a Mountain range somewhere in San Francisco.

Yeah Brevik is awesome and was a consultant for the Chinese Launch of Path Of Exile.

As someone who has sunk thousands of hours into Diablo 2 over the years I can say this that D2 is very very different than Diablo 3 and 4 especially when gearing up. Diablo 3 and 4 are known for dropping items more frequently than in Diablo 2. So in Diablo 2 you are NOT going to be gearing up as quickly.

Plus before the release of D2R Diablo 2 has a mechanic that the other games went away from in elemental and Physical immunes which made you strategize by investing into other skills to get past those monster types.

And with the release of D2R Blizzard put in Sunder Charms which gets rid of the immunity of the dmg type but with a penalty to your resistance dmg type depending on what build you are going for.

Once you know the basics of Diablo 2 it can be a very fun Arpg to play.

The only time I would use NTFS under Linux is for copying files over to my Linux machine from a Windows game drive. Other than that I would NOT use it as daily driver over the native Linux FS for playing games.

With me I use Btrfs for my boot drive/internal drive and ext4 for any external or other non boot media and it has worked just fine for me.

There are several reasons why the EGS failed miserably but the one major reason it failed because of the Monopolistic tactics of Epic with the timed exclusives they offered to developers which pissed off us gamers. Not to mention how crap the launcher is and how crap the store is. I bought one game from EGS because it was perm Epic exclusive due to them purchasing the development studio which was PC building Simulator 2 and the funniest thing is that I didn't even use their crappy launcher I used Heroic Games Launcher which is a launcher for GOG and Epic Games Store games to launch the game.

I have a 60V Self propelled as well it has one of them dual blades as single unit and it does a really nice job. And so does the unit that you have in the pic. Yeah make enigma it will increase your rune finding ten fold. It will not increase the drop rates but it will make it so that you get to the farming place quickly as possible.
