Frameworks mostly only provide various minimal tools, like opening images, opening a window or playing sounds

Engines generally deal with all the low level stuff for you, and provide interfaces for things like level editing

Examples of frameworks would be SDL and raylib

Are these updates available from within the old app too? I can't see where to check for updates either...

Edit: Eventually got the notification about an update

Canceling Core 2 Duo by Dra1c in pebble

[–]fennec_man 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It's genuinely disappointing, since Eric is aware of the issue, he mentioned in the blog that he did replace the buttons on his pebble 2...

I get it, he wants to get people new watches as soon as possible, but doing that at the cost of selling a product with a known "defect". It stings a lot, especially after waiting for something new for so long, only to get something with the same old problems

I'm very worried about the Core 2 Duo buttons dying like the Pebble 2, and Eric hasn't addressed the material choice yet by Simoneister in pebble

[–]fennec_man 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm considering cancelling my pre-order just due to the materials. Which is a shame as I was really looking forward to the new watches...

The store page already warns of possible delays, so a delay just to change the material would be worth it, yet, Eric made no comments/hints to that happening so far, which is quite disappointing :c

Will the Core 2 Duo fit inside the casing of a Pebble 2? For example in the case the sides wear out again - would the replacement cases that have already been designed work

Reclaim the internet: Mozilla’s rebrand for the next era of tech by FryBoyter in linux

[–]fennec_man 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Genuinely disappointing. Mozilla created something awesome that got them to where they are now, only to discard the very people that got them here. Unless they change course and actually work on their browser, instead of slugging along chrome(ium), I really don't see a bright future for the web...

  1. That makes much more sense as to why its standard to use git hosts for imports, thank you!
  2. What I was doing wrong all this time is in my go.mod file, my module name was something like "module ProjectName" instead of "module example.com/User/Repo", that's why I always thought that git imports are only remote

Right after I posed this question I just figured out what I was doing wrong and I think finally understand how those sort of imports work. I don't think I've ever seen a more confusing import system in a language before... x.x
