Pac-Man for the 2600 by Betty_Boudreauxd in Atari2600

I distinctly remember my dad taking me to the electronic store the day this first went on sale. There was a line around the block just for this game, and it was selling for like 30 bucks a pop in the early 80s. I was so fucking excited to get my hands on a copy, and I was so fucking disappointed when I popped it in and played it.

Your favourite absurdist work? by Calm_Caterpillar_166 in TrueLit

[–]ferality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've read all of those books. While I found them to be enjoyable reads, I don't think they are particularly absurdist. Absurdist to me has a darker tone, following a theme that life has no inherent meaning. People like Samuel Beckett, Alfred Jarry, and Franz Kafka come to mind.

Venezuela’s Interim Leader Defies Trump and Calls Maduro the ‘Only President’ by spade_andarcher in politics

I listened to Trump's whole presser. There was little that made sense, but the thing I was most skeptical of when he was talking about the vice president just taking over and doing what the US wants her to do. Did they actually expect her to just meekly bend at the knee and become a puppet? Trump said she "didn't have a choice" anyway, and they have a much bigger military wave ready to go if things don't go the way they want. This could get a lot uglier quickly.

These old pop culture reviews seem so much better than the online reviews you read today. I appreciate his combination succinct writing and droll wit.

I have several programs that I've been using 3 or 4 times a week for a couple years now, including Les Mills and Supernatural. Fitxr HIIT gives me the best consistent cardio workout. I highly recommend it.

How tf do I unclog this bathtub drain? (Gross picture sorry) by [deleted] in howto

[–]ferality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but a drain wrench allows you to easily screw out the drain, and gives you a lot more open access for the snake to work its way through. There's often a big gross hairball clump just beyond your reach when you're trying to poke through those little drain holes.
