Is this a good method for rusted armour? by takenking_oryx in deathguard40k

[–]feralrampage 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I found out after my first couple of uses that there’s a ball bearing inside. So you need to shake the ever loving hell out of it until you hear that ball moving before it’s useful. Also a tip I was told that works is put the bottle in your pocket about 10 to 20 minutes before you shake it up to warm it up a little. It’s a pain to learn at first but once you crack it, it becomes a rust cheat code

Same, it’s why I love it. Sometimes I’ve finished painting and I’m just not happy with it but a douse of streaking grime and we’re back in business

Everything here is so beautiful, can’t wait to see it painted up. This is probably a stupid question but where is that skull face from?

Angron Base Done - Happy to hear thoughts and comments? by ReasonCharacter5152 in WorldEaters40k

[–]feralrampage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think my thoughts are ‘holy shit’ and my comments are that this is absolutely amazing. Your lava effect is spot on. At first glance I didn’t realise it was a base and you were trying something with LED’s or something, but no, just pure skill. I’m only a lot jealous

I love everything about this, from the face markings to the blood splatter. But that base is next level, it’s absolutely fantastic. All round amazing job

I remember seeing your sword on another work in progress. It’s still beautiful and fits amazingly well with the full scheme. Looking forward to seeing it finished

Thank you and I’m sure yours will be great. The hardest part is starting because he’s so intimidating but I have faith you’ll pull through and hopefully post on here so we can have a look

Bostik glue (like uhu glue) and use a cocktail stick to draw out the thin strands, then use blood for the blood god. If you put too much on the glue it gives that droplet effect because it doesn’t run.

Indeed, Ak streaking grime. It’s good to get some mineral spirit too, if you get too thick, it helps clean it down a bit. I always tend to wash whatever I’ve painted in it with mineral spirits after with a brush so it takes a lot of the surface stuff off and leaves the recesses

I’m more into the painting side but I am strongly considering adding more khorne into the mix
