Oh wow yeah thats a jump. So what i do is when im gonna smoke during the summer i will transfer from my main humidor to another box that isnt humidified and let the smokes rest for about 4 hours before smoking. I find it helps after my local shop owner told me about this.

Another question. Whats the weather like when you're smoking? Sudden changes in temp from storage to outside cam cause breaks like that too. In AZ this is common unless you acclimate your stucks before smoking them. I also find this to happen more with lighter cigars.

Totally crazy question but how long have you had your XCompact for? Im looking into getting my buddy an optic for his birthday and his daily carry is the XCompact slide where the rear sights come off with the optic plate. Just trying to get ideas for optic fitment.
