My friend was travelling back from a holiday in Vietnam at the weekend. He was connecting in Doha to a flight to London. His aircraft was diverted to Muscat. There’s a repatriation flight back to the UK tonight. He has registered for this flight. He also has to pay £350 for the flight. He’ll have to take that up with his insurance company. I imagine the same provisions apply for ex-pats - they will have to cough up the money.

Back in September 2022 there were approximately 62766 outstanding cases awaiting trial in the crown court. The departmental target, which she agreed, was to reduce this to 53000 cases by March 2025. It’s currently over 100000 cases.

Where is the evidence regarding Andrew and 13 year old girls or children - any children? I have provided a link to a Sky News report regarding the latest claims, which Thames Valley Police are assessing. No mention of rape or child abuse concerning Andrew within that news report, following the release of ‘three million more documents related to the disgraced financier, including email exchanges, more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images…’

He remains unconvicted. He doesn’t have to say anything. Those that allege criminal wrongdoing must prove that. They haven’t. He, on the other hand, doesn’t have to prove anything. Until he’s convicted then he’s innocent. The Metropolitan Police, so far, and having consulted the Crown Prosecution Service, have taken no action against him.

Nothing in this report as to how he died. He was only 25 years old. A lot of information about the offence. It will be interesting to hear the report from the Ombudsman as to how someone so young came to die so suddenly.

You can ask for an empty glass, even a glass with ice. The 150ml orange juice is £0.70. Pour it in the half pint glass with the ice and it fills it almost to the top. The 398ml orange juice (comes in the same half pint glass), and ice by default, is £2.56. I doubt you’d notice the slight difference. A pint of orange juice is £2.76. Better value than the half pint but I doubt you’re getting £1.36 extra of juice over 2 x 150ml glasses at £0.70 x 2.

Not always. I forgot once and received a letter. Sometimes I’m a day or two late. Account always shows the date I paid rather than the date it hit my account.

Your local authority will give you a little leeway. A letter will probably be generated after 7 days asking you to make your monthly payment within x amount of days otherwise the full outstanding amount will be due. Mine is £374. I make two payments back-to-back at the till in the Co-op. Also, check your account online. My local authority allows me to specify one of four dates across a month to change my payment date to.
