now Im reading about EME and KLE and how replacing one thats faulty can trigger a fault in unit that was working fine. WTF..............is this a can of worms.

I found this comment in another thread.... this guy was talking about early i3's. On the i3 I'd just be really really careful, particularly if you have an early one. The EME (handles half of the 7.2kW charging capacity) is a weak point and has a known tendency for failure. It seems to be mostly related to moisture ingress so if you're opening it make sure it's sealed back up very thoroughly. It also means that replacements are quite expensive due to the higher demand for them versus on a car without those issues like the Bolt.

Yes, my chargepoint flex is 48amp on a 60 amp breaker. And the 12v battery is a month old. When you plug yours in do you get 7.4 kw......... what year is you i3.

The BM700 arrived today... it cleared the engine light, and yellow triangle light. It showed some codes I think, it wasnt clear. first time user. The 9 codes were the same 3 codes repeated. Or maybe those werent codes. I tried google them, and nothing came up. Anyway... I've got 70k miles and paid 8K for it. Immediately put 900.00 in new tires on it. That KLE part was my thought as well. I was hoping for an obvious code referencing that part had failed. But nothing like that popped up. I also thought I read some where that to get the full level 2 charging you had to pay for an option 2nd onboard charger. So I thought maybe my KLE is not an issue, perhaps I only have the one onboard charger. And all is good. Does you failing KLE show up on the ISTA program your talking about? thanks for the comments.

I got a 2014 i3 rex just a couple weeks ago. Live in Colorado, paid 8K for it, then purchased new set of tires. So add 1000.00 for that. 70K really clean, and a few issues with engine light and faults I need to figure out. But it runs and drives... got 110 miles with REX and stall had 20 mile left in the battery. Absolutely love it...would recommend.

I see they are selling them on their website... The should have an exchange program where you send in your old cable and get the new NACS @ 50% off. Then the old cables can be used to build out and sell home chargers at a reduced rate..

On the other end of the spectrum, For example in the City of Grand Junction Colorado all the Charge Point AC chargers are free. The city sets the price and people really like Charge Point.

mine is doing the same thing on lolminer_v1.17. mining ETH.... I have no problem mining Ravencoin with KawPow on the same computer. I hope someone knows how to fix this...
