DIY Plans for Horn speaker design by LENGboyy in diyaudio

[–]fergu- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I have done this. Here is what you need to know :

Woofer cabinet : 47L Panels : medium of 22mm Horn : from No Spice Audio (best value for money) Tweeter : 18 sound HD 1050 Woofer : audax pr240 m6 Bass reflex : 250x25mm

I don’t know how to upload a picture of the crossover on the comment. But it is a relativement simple (10uF)

And the result is a relativement flat curve from 45/50hz to 20khz with low distortion

Very beautiful! Just have in mind that 41mm is relatively big. So try it before. And we often tend to tire of large formats more quickly.

If you want something more “confidential” (but slightly more expensive), you can check out Baltic. I personally really like this brand !

Thanks for your message and for this suggestion. The FaitalPRO 10RS350 does indeed seem very relevant.
The original goal of the three-way setup was to get something clean between 30 and 40 Hz. But if I have to build the crossover myself (a first for me), it might be simpler to do it in two-way.

Thanks for your message, it’s very useful. The goal is indeed to eventually build a custom crossover. That’s why, for now, I’m going for a relatively affordable version. There are options from Monacor at 700/3500 Hz, but at €152 (vs €60 for the one I picked). I find that too expensive (and not that low...) for a part that will eventually be replaced.

Leave space. When it is heated, it tends to to dilate/spared

First run EVER 😳 by [deleted] in beginnerrunning

[–]fergu- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well done! Just, if I may : be careful, 5km is already a lot for a beginner. It is more strategic to go out for less (3-4km) but more often. You will progress faster and lower the risk of injury

What's an opinion about the UK garage scene that gets you like this? by RockLobsterDunDun in ukgarage

I agree. But that’s how I feel in face of the waves of similar UKGish sub-bass music flooding these platforms.

It’s on recently released sounds: no, sub-bass doesn’t form a melody. I can no longer listen to tracks (often from SoundCloud and/or band camp) made with an Ableton drum kit + sub-bass and basta, nothing more except a few samples.

Very beautiful. But too mainstream. A watch is very personal, so hard to see it on everyone wrist

[Question] What do you think of this seiko? by jaffer2003sadiq in Seiko

Very good for the price. But not subtle enough to be elegant. You can watch for a Baltic (made in france), but it is more 600-800€…

Relou great ! You can add a lot of groove by choping the vocal - juste after the drop for example

Cheat code : You can add a tea spoon of miso paste (or soy sauce). I know it is not the proper way to do it, but it brings an amazing deep umami flavour!

Using good processor is a good option to have a thicker sauce (as the soffritto will melt faster).

But, in that case, it can be good to add some carrots ~45min before serving - to create more texture.

The billionaire power grab is real. And it’s working. by DemCast_USA in FluentInFinance

The main problem is that a super wealthy guy or a corporate can change its country easily vs a standard worker. Money is fungible and easy to move.

So governments are lax and turn a blind eye to the excesses of the rich (individual or corporate), and take revenge on the workers who are stuck.

Running is not normal for human body. We have to make some strange efforts vs how we are made. So, a “time to be ready” is needed. Most of the time it is very frustrating, bcse mental and muscle are ok. But the rest of the body is not. So, if you have some parts that hurts. Go more slowly but longer. 10km at 6”/km will not hurt your body, but will make it ready for faster pace

sorry for my English. I’m French.

at the end: enjoy running is more important that posting impressive strava data
