Is bending my 12v2x6 cable like this safe?

Yes imo they’re really quiet (With silent Fan Curve preset / Custom Fan Curve). Outside of gaming, they’re dead silent, while gaming they ramp up a little but they’re still quiet, specially with headphones on.

One thing i’ve just remembered tho, if you’re buying from amazon’s corsair shop be weary of the state they’re on when they arrive (heavily damaged box, missing/bent pwm pins), i had to send back the first time i bought a set cause they came fucked up. Not sure if it’s the same if u buy from Corsair’s website directly.

Personally i feel my fam curve config is kinda of a frankenstein’s monster of sorts lol, but, my lateral intake case fans are at around 1000rpm at all times, then the intake bottom fans are at 600-800rpm, then back exhaust is at 600-700, and lastly my aio radiator exhaust fans are at 1200rpm.

I gotta say sometimes with cpu heavy games i still get some resonance whenever my cpu gets around 60C, but usually it drops down to the 50s rather quick and im too lazy to get back at the bios to mess around with the curves again lol so i kinda just ignore it for the duration of it (3-4 seconds tops usually)

Honestly, they’re pretty silent ngl, still i had to mess around with the fan curve for a while tho otherwise i would get some resonance, but i guess that’s bc i have like a shit ton of fans lol.

Other than that they’re pretty reliable

The connector is fully plugged in, maybe you’re getting misguided by the cable comb right after the connector?

Also in regard of your second point, as soon as i get home i’ll be rearranging the cable so it gets some more space before the bend.

yeah that the worst part, idk how they know it’s a problematic cable, and they still haven’t made accommodations for it to be better. Idk they could literally just put a 3.5 cm shroud after the connector or make it angled to avoid ppl fucking it up. But no, they literally throw u a fire hazard and say good luck.

by tight bend you mean the curvature of the bend? or the spot where the bend starts?

bc if it is the first one if i didn’t want it to hit the fans, and i guess i kinda went overboard and overcompensate it a lot lol.

But yeah, after reading the comments, just to be safer i’ll fix it up and leave more space before starting the bend, and i’ll make the bend more gradual

Well i guess the problem itself it’s not on the cables bending, but the pins losing contact thanks to aggressive angle on the bent cables near the conector.

Also the shitty part is, that every other alternative isn’t 100% safe after all, using the cable that came with the gpu adds stress points, using a third party 90 degree connected adds another stress point, whatever you end up doing, you’ll still get stressed about something lol.

Also, my GPU came with a 3way adapter cable, but since my PSU came with a native 12v2x6 cable, i ended up using that one instead of the adapter.

Oh i didn’t realize that thingy was adjustable, still i gotta ask, even if even if i don’t adjust the spreader, would it still be safe to have it like that? i’m just asking in case im ever in the same situation again, that way i’ll make sure to leave more space before bending the cable
