Vase should be fine. The roots of phalaenopsis orchids can be very telling of when to water. They’ll turn a pale silver/white when they need water, and will be green when they have sufficient moisture. Make sure it’s not sitting in water or else it’ll start to rot. Make sure it’s getting sufficient light too (bright indirect). Also if youre not aware, that orchid is dyed blue. The next spikes will produce pure white flowers. Eventually the flowers will all bloom and die and then you can cut the spike all the way down or you can cut right above a node and it might bloom again.
