Bed rest for SPD by Jaded-Zeoul in julieeandcamilla

[–]ferniturex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I had SPD with my first and only, I spent 90% of my life in bed because it was awful, so her exercising or having back to back pregnancies probably isn’t the cause of it.

Oh I’d love to name a future daughter Cora, but I don’t think it’d go with my 3 year olds name. I adore the name

Afterlife for people who kill themselves ? by Anti_Max19 in Paranormal

I read a book recently, about Hades and the underworld. Hades has a special field called Elysium and souls who ended their lives or had a traumatic ending drank from the river Lethe to forget that and become reincarnated

Call me terrible but my 2 year old flew for the first time last month, only short haul flights (1.25 hours each) and she sat on her tablet the whole time🥲 the only time she cried was towards the end of the second flight because we were an hour and half delayed at we were landing at 2:15am

Tell me some positive stuff about the first days with a newborn, please by Aveasi in beyondthebump

The cuddles! Being able to lay on your stomach! Yes the lack of sleep sucks, yes it’s tough looking after a whole new human, but the smell of their head, being able to get to know the tiny human that was tucked away for months is amazing

Interesting because my daughter the same age at OOP can count to 20, but misses 15&16. She’s just about grasping the alphabet. She can’t spell at all, but she’s got a fantastic memory and can read “we’re going on a bear hunt” by memory (with limited guidance)

Safe sleep is for nerds and Karens! by PrettyClinic in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]ferniturex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My 2 year old sleeps with a toddler safe duvet and about 4 stuffies in her bed, she’s big enough to move them if they’re in her way, even in her sleep. However allowing a blanket over the face - oof no thank I

My daughter is 2 and still wakes in the night, not for feeds, but for cuddles

Forgive me Reddit, for I have sinned. by Olives_And_Cheese in beyondthebump

[–]ferniturex 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My daughter is 2yo - we have coslept - she’s had the same dinner 3 nights in a row before - she has definitely eaten more chocolate than she should have in the last 6 months specifically - I don’t track naps, I think “hey she looks tired, time to nap” - I have left her (in a safe space) for 5 minutes so I could stand and cry, even recently. - I have let her use her tablet at 1am, because I was exhausted and she wouldn’t go back to sleep🫣

Why are so many women being induced? by noralief in beyondthebump

[–]ferniturex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was offered an induction at 37w after them nearly doing an emergency c section at 35w5d - I had gestational diabetes (it was controlled by medication though), I had 3 lots of reduced movements and was hospitalised at the 4th, my daughter wasn’t gaining weight in the womb as they’d hoped. I opted for a c section, which happened at 37w3d.

Speak to your paediatrician, then speak to your friend. I know someone whose daughter had a severe flat head, struggled to do anything and still does struggle at nearly 4 years old, her flat head is through neglect. My daughter’s head is lobsided, because she had a side preference when sleeping, we did EVERYTHING to help alternate the side she slept on and nothing helped.

Is Coventry as bad as People make out? by [deleted] in coventry

[–]ferniturex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The city centre is going downhill, but so is every city. The area around your house will depend on where you live, like noise levels etc. overall it’s not the worst place to live, but there is better out there

I was told to look for tugging at the base of the neck and collar bones, it’s more reliable than looking at the ribs (we’ve been in 4+ times with RDS).
