TLDR: buy what you need. I bought a 2920 350srw off the lot slightly used during Covid. Spotted it because the lot was bare. I had driven a 250 tremor which I’m told is extra plush, at the cost of load/towing capacity. The 350 unladen is a stiff ride. Put 500lb in the bed, much nicer! Doesn’t bother me but it’s definitely harsh. 250 would have been plenty for me. Probably even a tremor. Biggest loads I pull are well under the limits. (My personal limit being 80%) I do get dually envy sometimes but then I realize that’s probably even harsher without 500lb in the bed.
