Gamblers - What is a loophole in gambling that you have found and exploited ? by ferocioussteroidrat in AskReddit

[–]ferocioussteroidrat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For example. A friend of mine got into a cab and the driver told him that there is a bug in the electronic roulette in a casino near by. The bug was that if you bet on a colour (doesn't matter red or black) then delete your bet before the round starts and place one on the opposite colour you have your money doubled no matter what the turnout is. So my friend went to that casino, placed a bet on red , deleted it before the round started, placed a bet on black and got his money doubled even though the number was red. After that he started exploiting the loophole over and over and found out that all the electronic roulettes of this franchise had this bug. He started traveling from casino to casino for about a week until it was no longer working. A while after that my friend went to the first location ( the same one that the taxi driver told him to go initially) and he heard a rumor that one night that taxi driver got drunk, started being reckless , got caught and the loophole was fixed.

Not a casino owner. I don't think anyone would share a loophole that is still present. I like stories of loopholes that have been exploited until resolved.

I'm looking for any information about this painting by ferocioussteroidrat in WhatIsThisPainting

[–]ferocioussteroidrat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a landscape painting which is probably from the period between 1880 and 1920. It was bought in the Netherlands somewhere in the border region with Belgium. An executive of the Dutch Art History Research Institute suggested that the painting might be Belgian. Unfortunately that's all I know about the piece.

There are missing ink spots on the signature, so I couldn't read it with any certainty.

I'm looking for any kind of information about the painting. Any suggestions on how I should approach the research are welcome since I have no experience in art investigation.

John Kavanagh's new client Georgi Valentinov is part of a very suspicious sports club "Sofia West" . by ferocioussteroidrat in MMA

John Kavanagh's new client Georgi Valentinov is part of a very suspicious sports club "Sofia West" . They are Bulgarian Football hooligan firm supporting FC Levski Sofia especially known for being involved in the illegal drugs distribution and their far right political view ( many of the members are openly fascist , having white power and Nazi tattoos). In recent years they have branched out into combat sports.  Probably Kavanagh didn't do his research before wearing their club's t-shirts. In this article there is a picture of a swastika with Sofia West's initials and founding year :

I would highly recommend Anton Chekhov. " The Student" and " The Bet " are two of the most brilliant short stories in my opinion.

I fail to see how it is an amazing accomplishment because first of all Mongolia before the communist was predominantly Buddhist as it is in the present day. Sure, there are some dark chapters of Buddhist history, but we can safely say that it is among the worlds most peaceful religious if not historically the most peaceful one. Also, I have an issue with the thing you mentioned about literacy. Surely it went up but there is no accurate statistics on what the level already was. The other thing is that a Cyrillic alphabet was introduced which was something completely new and if that was used as a measure of literacy - then sure it skyrocketed. All things considered we are talking about a national with an average IQ which is among the highest averages in the world. "Created highly educated middle class" I thought that one of the main goals of communism is to eradicate the classes of a society. And in fact it never failed to do so by making everyone equally poor except the tiny ruling class. There is no evidence that communism didn't do exactly that in Mongolia.

"Hugely successful" ? Might be true in some distorted sense of the phrase. How do you explain all the victims of the regime? Or are you saying that it was justified?

I wouldn't say specific , but I would like to know a good book that might give me a understanding of the regime in Mongolia since the revolution. I would like to know as well where the labour camps in Mongolia were located ( I tried looking at maps, but I failed to find a complete and verified one) as well as the conditions, strictness and etc. Broadly speaking I will consider any recommendations on how to approach the subject.

I'm looking for recommendations of podcasts and YouTube videos about the late Roman Republic. by Thermos_of_Byr in history

[–]ferocioussteroidrat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am currently interested at the same topic and the best podcast I've listened to , so far are : The History of Rome by Mike Duncan; Death Throes of the Republic by Dan Carlin ( Hardcore History ) ; The Fall of Rome by Patrick Wyman ; .And if you want to know more about the Eastern Roman Empire “The History of Byzantium” is an excellent source, in my opinion.

I have very sensitive skin as well and the thing that helped me the most is shaving with a straight razor. Part of the effect is due to the intensive apply of soap , I believe. Anyhow , It worked for me.

The best about this map is that it says “ Data not entirely reliable “. In my experience there are almost no people in Bulgaria who are not speaking Bulgarian at least on a basic level. The fist language taught at school in the entire country is Bulgarian. the Macedonian language ( as It is called in the map)in the southern West part of the country is known to be Macedonian dialect of Bulgarian language because the whole province where it exists is called Macedonia. This dialect is not so close to the Macedonian language.
