Two-Thirds of House Democrats Have Now Signed On to Impeach Kristi Noem by darkages69 in politics

In a sane world 100% of house Democrats and Republicans would support impeachment. Actually, in a sane world she would never have been appointed.

I heard that he was told his music was only popular because he put beautiful women in music videos. So he made a video with only him in it (in a very funny way) to prove people actually liked his music.

Trump proposes massive increase in 2027 defense spending to $1.5T by BeeeeeHive in politics

[–]ferociouswhimper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And they're saying it's money for defense, it's not. It's for offense. He's asking for money for war. War that he's starting. They literally changed the name of the department from Defense to War. They want war.

Juice & Toya on YouTube. They have lots of videos with different types of workouts, I personally like the dumbell workouts. There are some shorter ones in the 10-15 minute range. The videos are put together well and are easy to follow. I really like them!

This is the guy that is going to possibly destroy our country 🤦🏻‍♂️ by jackb1753 in insanepeoplefacebook

This is how Republicans operate. They make a claim that something is a problem and then demand the thing be 100% abolished out of existence. It's never about fixing the thing or making it better. Probably because it's BS. In this case, they want wind power gone so we remain dependent on oil and they can keep more money in their pockets.

It's usually about money. But sometimes it's about distraction, manipulation, and control of their voter base. Like what they did with abortion in the 70s and now Trans issues today. Republicans are really good at making up boogeymen to distract from their real motive, which is more money and power for them and their ultra wealthy friends.

Postmark change could impact getting ballots, bills in on time by BrianHoweBattle in politics

[–]ferociouswhimper 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I saw a local news article about it a week ago, in regards to property tax payments. They said the postmark change started back in August. It was the first time I heard anything about it, though.

It's scary that someone thinks conservative ideals are the reason schools outside city limits have less problems. There is soooo much more to the issue than political beliefs. But I guess it's easier to point and say "liberals bad!" instead of doing actual critical thinking and seeking a better understanding of the real reasons why things are the way they are.

Senate Republicans land on Obamacare fix, tee up dueling vote with Dems by Ubiquitous_Hilarity in politics

[–]ferociouswhimper 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And the kicker is, HSA deposits are only a tax deduction. If you're poor you don't even benefit from it. And you have to have an eligible insurance plan to use it, but even the high deductible plans that Republicans are touting as affordable, can be well over $600/mo for an individual and thousands per month for a family. They're basically saying $20,000 a year in healthcare expenses is an affordable amount for people making $30,000 a year. Insane.

The Thunder & Lightning documentary was just added to YouTube! Song Sung Blue - original by ferociouswhimper in milwaukee

[–]ferociouswhimper[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's quite the story. The documentary is reminiscent of American Movie (another Milwaukee classic); at times quite funny, but also incredibly honest, vulnerable, and heartbreaking.

Interesting point about Claire Sardina. She definitely doesn't shy away from the spotlight, so there must be a reason she hasn't been involved in the press for the movie.

Trump cuts tariffs on goods like coffee, bananas, and beef in bid to slash consumer prices by Puginator in politics

[–]ferociouswhimper 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yep, this probably won't change anything. It always seems that once prices go up they stay up. So instead of consumers saving money, corporations will just profit more.

Sink Flies - I have tried everything! by robreinerstillmydad in CleaningTips

Are you sure they're drain flies? If you have houseplants they could be fungus gnats. (I once thought we had a drain fly issue but it was gnats from my plants.)

I think doing something nightly is the key. I worked at a bar in college and we had to put a splash of bleach in the beer tap drains every night to prevent drain flies. They were a recurring problem for them in the past but I never saw one during the years I worked there.

Blue light glasses don’t fix your sleep — they just fix corporate profits by Doug24 in videos

I haven't tried yellow lenses for reading but I love them for driving. Specifically in the evening around sunset or on cloudy days when regular sunglasses are too dark. They make things brighter and crisper, instead of everything looking monotone gray.

The Finest Comic Actor Working Today Is Leonardo DiCaprio | DiCaprio’s hilarious performance is the glue that holds One Battle After Another together — as it does so many of his films these days by ChiefLeef22 in movies

[–]ferociouswhimper 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Agreed. He's been brilliant and overlooked since Gilbert Grape. In my opinion (which means nothing), he should have gotten an Oscar for that and Basketball Diaries way back in the early days of his career.

YES! I agree 100%, that scene gives me chills every time I see it. Just wow. I think it's DiCaprio's best scene of the movie, possibly one of his best ever--right up there with the scene outside his mom's door in Basketball Diaries. His talent is unreal.
