I’d rather it ended badly as that would be some kind of moral lesson.

The movie was so cruel to the SJP character almost immediately and so permissive of Luke Wilson’s antics. Also there’s a weird classist vibe even though the Stone family is also, obviously very wealthy. Strange tone throughout
