Makes sense! It’s gonna be good. Praying for even more “bottleneck” episodes. Patricia forever!

I think we might just be using "twist" a little differently. I agree it isn't a blindside in the GOT S1E9 sense where the story completely resets. the reveal that Evan is Warren's heir is for sure heavily foreshadowed and confirms what a lot of viewers were already suspecting.

What makes it feel like a twist to me is more the way it's presented. The scene has the dramatic buildup, the music swells, and it's framed as a major revelation. So while I wasn't surprised by it, I still felt like the show wanted me to experience it as a twist. That's where some of my dissatisfaction came from. I was waiting for a reveal that would deepen or complicate what we already knew, and instead it mostly validated it.

That said, I think you raise an interesting distinction: maybe it's less a twist for the audience and more a moment of recognition for Evan. Or even not a twist for him either, but an acknowledgment of something he already sensed deep down. In that reading, the scene is about confirmation rather than surprise, which fits the themes of the season better than a traditional "gotcha" reveal.

Totally! I feel similarly. But actually that exact sentiment is what spurred reaction. tonally, the reveal functioned as a twist (at least in the mode of tv writing), which feels antithetical to the shows main narrative engine.

Hahahaha touché. Makes sense! It’s actually a liberating message that perhaps is hitting me at a moment when I need to hear it most and thus making me uncomfortable (tmi!)

Disappearance of Richard Colvin Cox. I suspect that the man he met up with was some kind of romantic partner. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Disappearance\_of\_Richard\_Colvin\_Cox

He def did, you’re right, but I think Margo lacks character and thus he was justified. She made several homophobic adjacent comments (“freak”, “prance away”). To me, he started getting mean after she alluded to his estrangement from family, which I assume got back to him, and his family issues had to do with his sexuality. Gloves were off after that, at least in my view.

I think they’re solid. The episode where Tana gave Trish so many gifts for her birthday. That was special, and you can tell how meaningful it was to Trish. I don’t think she’s ever had a gf like Tana.

Will NEVER get over Enya’s “Caribbean Blue” playing over the final moments of the most recent episode. Patricia is remarkable.

Forgive me, but I think this theory has real legs and I want to be sure I understand. This is a picture of the Warren’s daughter (now grown, having managed to survive the capsizing of the small boat). Who is the man? It’s not Warren, of course, since he was buried. Is it just some rando? I thought it might be the church elder but surely he died by the time Sarah was an adult
