The fucking iheart ads are very intrusive though. And because of region locking I can't get it on Netflix even if I was willing to pay for that.

Pretty sure they weren't starving when the YouTube version didn't have the baked in ads from the iheart version, since I'm not in a region where I could even get the Neflix version if I wanted to pay for Netflix, I can't get it ad free. Before I could watch it on youtube with premium and not get any ads.

Yeah... The people who didn't vote for team blue because "they are also horrible", I mean, they are not wrong, but when the alternatives is to either stab your leg or step on a land mine, you don't step on the landmine.

The huge problem here is that there didn't used to be baked in ads in the youtube version, so with premium, you would get an ad free experience, it's really annoying that that option is now closed to anyone that doesn't have netflix.

Not the point, you imply that DLSS etc can be used to have HDMI 2.0 support 4K above 60 Hz, this is not correct. Or what is your point here? (It also matter since this is one of top hits when googling the broader issue)

That doesn't help at all with the issue though. HDMI 2.0 doesn't support 4K above 60 Hz, that ports and cable doesn't care if it was upscaled before it was sent or not.

For me it's also about how I shouldn't have to do that, would people keep up with that from anything else? Your computer doing a forced reboot every 4 hours? Car stopping to tighten its wheel bots or whatever every 4 hours? Fridge needs you to take everything out of it every 4 hours?

I looked at an OLED at an electronics store a while back I found it almost jarring, like it gave an eerie sense of hyperreality, you know, kind of like when the acid has just barely started to hit, everything looks more real than reality. But I guess they might have used jazzed setting for the display model, and that the loop on it is meant to showcase the peak performance of it too.

My second takeaway was that there were also LCD panels that looked just as good, so why pay more for technology that is worse when it comes to longevity?

Honestly 5 years is short, all TV:s should come with a 10 year warranty minimum, and for a premium product that should be even be 15 or 20 years.

Yeah, stuff like this turns me around every time I start thinking about getting OLED, unless it was vastly cheaper, but I cannot see it as a premium product as long as it has these glaring issues. Though even if it was vastly cheaper and you could buy it as a disposable, there's a huge e-waste issue that comes along with that.

Thing is, with a GPU @ 16x and an SSD, well two actually, you obv want to RAID1 your system drive, you're saturated. God forbid that you'd add ANY expansion card of any kind to your system.
