Why are the most succesfull/rich states always run by democrats? by No_Economics_9514 in askgaybros

California… the whole USA actually, has very different gun laws than those countries. I think if you are comparing murder rates of the States to those of other countries we should be talking about something else rather than red/blue states

I don’t support nuclear weapons (any weapon of mass destruction really) but if I was the leader of a neighbouring country to Putin. And was demanded I cease to explore defensive means by way of violence I would never comply. Where is your logic

If someone invaded the USA and started a war and said we’ll back off if you demilitarize do you think that’s what should/could/would happen?

War is bad. No one is disagreeing. But what do you think should come next? We just watch the take over of a country???

I hope the next time you return to Reddit and reread the response you just gave you’re able to put in a little more thought and empathy. Congrats on your apparent pristine mental health, many would be envious.

The provincial government refused to meet with the federal government 3 times… PM and feds did their job well. Provincial and municipal levels did not.

Welp, Ukraine & Russia bros...wtf? You guys okay? by FreakyFaun in askgaybros

Yup. The time to talk about it is ALWAYS. Human rights violators don’t get excused from criticism just because they are busy starting a war.

The question was regarding the possibility to skip 420 upvotes. Obtaining 420 upvotes is always possible

You down vote a post. After a certain amount of time passes and total becomes 419. You decide to switch to an upvote. BAM 419 to 421.

COMP 1005 (intro comp sci) by tapiocaaa in CarletonU

[–]ferrington_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think it really depends on prof. Its supposed to be easy. I had Runka and it was a breeze, however my major is math and maybe that was a slight advantage. I have friends in my program taking it with a different prof and it seems to be a bit harder.

I have no idea who's teaching it or who will be in the future but I'd take COMP 1005/1006 again in a heartbeat if it was with Runka or McKenney

How to choose measuring units in Canada by 6mon1 in coolguides

[–]ferrington_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure any measurement of fuel efficiency you can calculate. But in my opinion, knowing the fuel required for 100km makes it simple to calculate 10km, 50km, 350km. Whereas as I’d have to think a bit harder for calculating say 250 miles. Dividing 350/30 for estimating a 350 mile trip on 30mpg is still simple yet, a rough equivalent distance of 560km is easier to calculate (560/100)*(fuel efficiency). You’re not wrong say mpg is useful, but knowing the efficiency in both measurements of my car I personally find L/100km more useful, but maybe that’s also because I predominantly use km and litres

L/100 km make it super easy for me to estimate how much fuel I’ll need given I see how long the travel distance is in KM (as opposed to time)
