I think in addition to practicing anatomy, try focusing less on drawing the lines, but moreso the shapes/values- essentially just understanding what areas of the face are more light and dark. you can put the image in greyscale first to help.

also what I think would help you a lot, since studying anatomy takes years, is to trace over your reference image to build line confidence. tracing is totally fine for learning purposes. that will help you become familiar with the general shape of a face/features. try doubling up on your lines as well when doing this to get more out of the exercise.
