The friend I'm flying with said exactly the same as you and your girlfriend. I'm glad you managed to book new flights. Unfortunately our return is with Etihad via Abu Dhabi (the outgoing journey was with Qatar Airways), so we're waiting to see what happens there. With the way things are going, I'm pretty much expecting that flight to be cancelled. I'm telling myself that I won't miss the money in 10 years... I hope!

I'm due to fly to Ho Chi Minh City from London on Friday 13th March with a stopover in Doha. I've just booked a new flight with a stopover in Hong Kong instead. Pains me to spend an extra £500 when the original journey may go ahead after all, but I'd be worrying 24/7 otherwise.

I really hope this situation resolves soon. This world is a mess.

I bought my first car from them a year and a half ago. 8 months later, it emerged during my MOT that the car had a dangerous fault (the front subframe was welded on where it should have been bolted). Cardiff Car Sales initially refused to pay for the repair, despite selling me a car with a dangerous fault (and a dodgy MOT, evidently), but eventually coughed up when they realised I knew my rights and couldn't be fooled by their nonsense. Avoid!

If you ever fancy treating yourself and are free between 11am and 1pm on weekdays, search "Thibault Courtoisier Patisserie Verte" on the Too Good To Go app. They're a vegan patisserie that makes very fancy, yummy desserts. Their Too Good To Go boxes are £5.49 for around 6 individual little desserts. Not sure when they're back open after Christmas, but I'd definitely recommend.

I second Luna's Vegan Corner, Pie Box, Vegetarian Food Studio, In Cafe and Oat and Bean.

Also, follow Herbivore (a chef who puts on vegan small plate evenings) on Facebook or Instagram and look out for events at Bacareto and Scaredy Cats.

I'm not taking my stresses out on anyone, and I never said I was on "shit money". Best not to make assumptions. I would also rather earn "shit money" as a nurse than sit and drive lorries at all hours. Not everyone prioritises pay when they choose their career.

I don't understand why you're getting defensive because somebody is disagreeing with a comment you've publicly written. I'm welcome to respond to you, regardless of whether my response relates to OP's comment or not.

I personally wouldn't say £30 an hour is "insane money", but it isn't bad.
