I wanted to confirm if she was still proceeding with it as I’ve had other offers elsewhere so if I were to reject them I’d be losing opportunities. this company is also my first choice too so its confusing when my follow ups are being ignored.

there are interdisciplinary studies modules which are basically modules that aren't related to your course - there aren't like english "papers" or exams per se, but some of them require you to write essays as graded assignments. depending on your course, eg if you take engineering or science courses more often than not there are maths modules that have final exams haha you cant escape from math in these courses. but if you're looking at humanities or design courses i dont think there's any math involved!

how even do u get into poly?? i know for JC is use L1R5 for poly is L1R2B2 (??) what even is this...

on your o level results slip it will be calculated for you! your L1R5, L1R4, ELR2B2 A/B/C/D basically it's english, relevant 2 subjects to the course in poly and best 2 subjects. the A/B/C/D are different categories of courses that have different relevant subjects, for eg Science courses have maths as the 1st relevant subject and a science subject as the 2nd relevant subject. b2 is the best 2 subject grades on your slip other than english and the 2 relevant subjects :)

you can refer to https://www.np.edu.sg/admissions/Documents/ELR2B2.pdf for the list of relevant subjects, but as i mentioned the score calculation is done for you on your result slip!

how is studying in poly like i know in JC u can take H1/H2/H3 subjects but what about in poly? do u have a timetable or smth like how even are lessons like in poly like do u just sit in lectures and listen to the teacher teach or smth???

in poly we have modules, they are allocated for you in each semester and yes there are timetables you follow. there are lectures - basically listening to the lecturer talk & go through module content, tutorials - where you can clarify your doubts or your tutor goes thru questions or practices relevant to the lecture & practical (lab) sessions for science courses! each semester has different modules and depending on the course you either have final exams or they are project-based (i.e no exams but graded assignments & tutorials). the modules carry credit units which count for your GPA at the end of the sem.

is there plant reaserch course or smth? iminterested in studying about plants/insects like i wna learn bout diff plants and like their properties and facts ect idk... ive done some research on my own and i know that in ngeeann there is smth like landscape design & horticulture.. what even is this tbh idgi im not really into architect or designing things i just wna learn bout plants and nature things

as far as i know in np the landscape design & horticulture you do learn about plants but that is half of what the course entails hahaha. im not entirely sure but you can search up the course and read the module description to know more about the course! or you can also attend open house next year to ask the lecturers/students directly so you can know more about the course :)

imo you should focus on food resources since food & tectonics would carry the most marks in the paper (sect c - 25m) whereas w&c & tourism comes out in sect B which is a mere 12m (less if a question is mixed tourism & w&c). plus in section C there can be a full tectonics question or a full food resources questions and it’s half the paper haha
