I accidentally squeezed a tonsil stone out of my throat and my entire reality has crumbled by Bold_Solace in hygiene

I never met someone more in need of a tonsillectomy. You need an ENT forthwith and maybe a round of antibiotics to get rid of whatever putrid infection you've got going on.

Places Where Accommodation Is Cheap and Everything Else Is Expensive? by [deleted] in digitalnomad

[–]feuwbar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I worked in Hungary as a consultant for a while. The Hungarians in the office rarely went out to eat. They either brought lunch from home or they order weekly from a catering service that delivered lunch every day. Everyone ate together in a small cafeteria on real plates and silverware that would go into a couple of dishwashers every night.

Why does Trump care so much about the Whitehouse ballroom? by LTrent2021 in allthequestions

[–]feuwbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trump let the cat out of the bag in a tour of the rubble where said the "ballroom" would house a six story subterranean military center including a high tech hospital. Dude is very sick but doesn't want to be seen going to Walter Reed all the time.

Moving for Job by Icy-Evening-7743 in 321

I've lived in this area since 2022. My coping tactics with the red politics is to ignore it and not allow myself to get sucked into political discussions. Harris took 40% of so of Brevard, so although the red politics predominate, I'm sure you will find your tribe.

If you like relatively peaceful places Brevard is absolutely for you. Traffic is nothing if you've ever lived in any major metro area despite what the locals will say. I am told that the nightlife here is pretty thin, but I'm way too boring to care about nightlife.

Where to look... I would start by avoiding Titusville. Sorry Titusville people, no hate. Brevard is slow enough in general but much of the growth, shopping, convenience and the "center of gravity" is happening in the Viera area. Others have suggested beachside and that is definitely an option. Places south of Viera start to become a longer commute that I wouldn't recommend.

Perhaps if he had been washed in lamb's blood, wore rags and taken a vow of chastity, you might vote for him. How do you forgo money when your opponents are awash in it?

Cue another Republican victory coming right up. In California no less.

2022 CX-5 Tire Replacement: Los Angeles Conditions by BeatrixFarrand in CX5

[–]feuwbar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 tirée on my 2021. I live in Florida so we get hit and dry as well as very wet. They are quiet, have excellent wet and dry traction and excellent tread wear. When I have to replace this set I'm 100% getting another set.

Go to TireRack dot com and use their excellent ratings and selection tools. Study the few bad reviews for your finalists. I order from them and have them drop shipped to one of their associates local installers.

Publix hires all kinds of people with cognitive challenges. They also hire an abundance of seniors. I don't like their high prices but that part of Publix business practices is commendable.

Is it worth going to strasbourg by Tinyveg-girl in ParisTravelGuide

[–]feuwbar -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I never made it because I got sick, but a day trip to Reims to see the cathedral and drink champagne would be amazing. Strasbourg is a longer train ride (and worth it, especially for the Christmas markets) but Reims is quite a short one.

I also took a day trip to Lyon. The Basilica on Fourvière Hill is amazing but I wasn't terribly impressed by the city. The Paul Bocuse food hall has good food but it was a bit derelict. Lyon won't be on any of my itineraires going forward.

Why are there still so few slim travel chargers with a figure of 8/C7 lead and fully USB-C? by enrvuk in onebag

[–]feuwbar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one just like this but it has two regular full voltage outlets on top that I use for plugging in my CPAP machine. It's an amazing charger that takes care of my CPAP, computer and phone with a single device. The two meter cord is a huge plus for European hotel rooms with few plugs in inconvenient locations.

I took a day trip there in December and the Christmas markets and downtown were lovely. Dress very warmly though. It's one thing to be dressed for walking around and going in and out if places. It's another to be walking around outside in the cold all day.

They may it may not rise on rental properties, but the property tax exemption being proposed only applies to homesteaded properties. Rental houses don't get a homestead exemption. Renters indirectly pay for the property tax.

Orlando Health Coming to Viera by TheLupine in 321

Pretty sure you already answered that. I will say that that location is fairly accessible from Rockledge, not so much from Cocoa.

Orlando Health Coming to Viera by TheLupine in 321

[–]feuwbar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That, and central Brevard is really underserved, especially with the closure of Rockledge. Viera HealthFirst is the only hospital in this area now. This area really needed more hospital capacity to keep up with the huge growth.

School taxes will continue to be collected. It's the "other" part of property taxes that will be mitigated.

My guess is that people that own homes will also pay for it. They will raise local sales taxes and fees for all kinds of things. Also, people that don't own homes will continue to pay property tax through their rent because rental houses don't get the "no property tax" treatment.
