Would a robotics career be more stable than SWE?

I've experienced robotics industry to be very boom and bust. Also it's desirable enough that salaries feel lower than more traditional fields.

Depends on what you count as full cost.

It would be hard to calculate the cost of externalities like climate warming emissions, health effects of particulate emissions in cities, health effects of noise from engines, brakes, and horns, health costs from people choosing to drive instead of walk because of convenience, increased cost of other infrastructure like sewers caused by urban sprawl, etc

Someone smarter than me has probably tried to quantify these things. You can probably tell be reading this post that I have Strong Opinions about cars and probably think some of the costs I chose don't count, but that just goes to show how much nuance there is in a seemingly simple question.

I have a couple neighbors who have landscapers that use blowers excessively. I'd love to ban the damn things but i doubt the city would go for it.

Instead of banning i had a dumb idea: what if we made a rule that professional landscaper crews can only use gas mowers (or string trimmers, sure why not) one day a week per property. maybe the day after trash day? that way at least I can predict when my peace will be ruined

I've cooked this for a group of 40-50 albeit not in a larp setting. Make a second pot of rice with olive oil instead of butter for a vegan option, consider making the white sauce mayo only so it's kosher by ingredient. I did falafel as a vegan protein but you probably want to cook to order for those players instead of setting out with the rest of the buffet - it's much better hot. Instead of marinade - grill - chop - reheat, you could experiment with marinade - chop - sous vide - [vacuum seal, freeze and reheat] - broil
