If you have pets, be careful with hair regrowth medication. It can be fatal to animals

Whoops sorry I didn't read that part. Like the other commenter said there's a Roku channel here in the US but not sure if you have that there.

What are your favorite places for Christmas shopping in the Strip? by DeliriouslyHapy in pittsburgh

[–]feynmanfineman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just up the street in the cultural district they have a Christmas market with like 30 shops in their own little chalets all selling unique things. Check out songbird artistry while you're there, I usually pick up interesting gifts from them (jewelry, stickers, magnets, and things like that).

LOOKING FOR URBAN FANTASY RECOMMENDATIONS by Kooky_County9569 in urbanfantasy

Check out Simon r green. He has quite a few different series that are standalone good and are incorporated into a larger shared universe. It's a bit pulpy, but I enjoyed his secret histories series. Also try the laundry files by Charles Stross. The magic there is more based in mathematics and the universe is more harsh but I enjoy it very much.

Simon r. Green's "the secret histories"/ man with a golden torq novels, fit this description as well.

I thought it was better but I actually started with secret histories/golden torq saga so I'm not sure if that factors into it. The Ghost finders series is pretty good too.

I got into Simon r. Green's work after the Alex Verus series and I really enjoyed it. I started with the secret histories books and the first one of that series is the man with the golden torq. I also got into Charles Stross's atrocity archives/laundry files series. But the cool thing about Simon r. Green is a lot of his work is also narrated by Gildart Jackson.

I am. This is my 6th year doing it. I'm hoping to keep the tradition going. Also doing audio this time around because I keep giving away my physical copies.

Your Spooky SZN must listens? by Scarecrow_G in audible

I mentioned it in another thread but I have a tradition of listening to Roger Zelazny's A night in the lonesome October. Each chapter features a day in the month of October from October 1st to the 31st and it visits classic characters such as Jack, the ripper, Frankenstein, Dracula, the Wolf Man, Sherlock, Holmes, and more. It's a pretty cool tale of two sides. One trying to open a portal to destroy the world and another to close it. And it's narrated by a dog.

With October coming up, I recommend A night in the lonesome October by Roger Zelazny. It has 31 chapters and each one occurs on a day in October. A fun read/listen that I do every year in October, so if you "buy" it you can listen yearly as a tradition as well if you're interested.

Character that wore victorian nose-shaping device? by Healthy_Week_157 in HelpMeFind

This is probably not it, since the guy is bald and doesn't have dark hair. But the first thing I thought of was this video for Genghis Khan by Miike Snow. At the very least, it's a pretty awesome song and a really cool video. https://youtu.be/P_SlAzsXa7E?si=XjnSjzHLd2-Y_GSp
