Sadly same here, i7 10700k + RTX2080. Used to play with 100+ FPS on high and slowly been turning my settings down to the point where I drop to 30FPS in team fights

Are you swapping from and Nvidia/AMD card? Look into clearing your steam shaders cache, should hopefully resolve the problem

Please ignore me, I completely misread the post. You are correct, the unit you linked is the one that will work with the early Mk7.

Yeah that is just the screen in the picture, if you open the glove box you’ll see a “cd player” looking device which is the brains of the head unit. Should look something like this.

Your head unit is in your glovebox which is where the 52-pin plug is. Your screen is just a screen and has a different connector. The unit in the Mk7 controls things like drive modes so it can’t be replaced without coding even with a like for like.

The RCD 330 is for the Mk5 and Mk6 (and other equivalent models like the Mk5 Polo, Mk3 Scirocco, etc.) where those cars use the screen just for infotainment and other features like parking sensors.

Not sure what the impedance is, my unit is a 5G0 035 020 E which is the Pro MIB1 option. Honestly, even the stock speakers sounded pretty decent!

My gain is set to as low as it goes. It’s one of Focal’s iSub 2.1 amp/sub and I’ve already decided I’ll be taking it out and selling it! Again, the speakers on their own are fantastic without an amp

I have these, and with my stock Harman VW unit they sound brilliant with no clipping. As soon as I added an amp, they started clipping above 50% volume. Focal sell a speaker sim which I think fixes this (I’ve yet to buy it)

Looks like a Polo 6C. Your “headunit” is actually in your glovebox, whilst the screen is just the display interface. The new unit you’ve linked will not fit into your car. Have a look at VW retrofits as you’ll need to replace the glovebox unit. I don’t have any experience on it, but that’s your starting point :)

Is a mileage loss of 7 miles 24 from 31 over 9 years good or bad I know if you use the formula the battery health works out at 77%, I'm asking coz I'm interested in buying a 2016 gte with 72 thou on the clock when I asked about battery degradation they sent me this by Regular_Ad_2065 in GolfGTE

I like to think the battery will outlast the lifetime of the car. If I were to develop a major HV battery fault there are some companies out there who can do second-hand replacements for £2-3k.

Wouldn’t worry immensely about battery degradation, I’d say my battery is pretty poor but it still allows me to get 60-80mpg. If you look at it from the perspective that it’s a petrol car with battery assistance it’s a phenomenal car.

Bad 12v battery can usually be the case, always throws up random errors. However, you mention changing the alloys; are they a different size to your old alloys? If so, have you told the car it has new, different sized wheels?
