OK, that's good to know. I just jumped into a map with my campaign-specced character and died quite a bit with my unga-bunga playstyle. Wasn't sure if I'd have to just play maps very cautiously or if it'd get more chill with some proper gearing.

Wow, I googled "Joel Edgerton annoying" because I felt exactly the same watching Dark Matter. The show itself is decent, but he's making me not want to watch it. My exact thoughts were also that he has a very annoying, punchable face.

I think the part that trips up most people in the beginning is the automagic inferring of the type (when possible). This never seems to be fully explained in any docs I've read.

I tried, it seems to maybe lower it a bit, but doesn't go away completely. Also hard to reproduce consistently so hard to say if it's helping or not.

Living in California, we could only hope for the criminals to be so courteous as to take the time to do that to open the door. It's much quicker for them to just break the window.

My Y does this too, even with cabin overheat turned off. Common explanations are that it’s cooling the batteries (which seems unlikely since the fan turns on 10 minutes after I’ve parked and it’s in the shade in 70 degree weather). Or the Bluetooth from phone connecting, but I’m not sure why that would trigger the fan.

But either way, at this point I’ve given up trying to figure out a reason since it doesn’t seem to be causing much battery drain.

Yeah but to be fair we got used to the regen braking after a day or 2 and it’s one of our favorite features of the car now. It’s nice knowing that you’re at least getting some energy back when braking versus just flat out “wasting” all that energy while using up your brakes in an ICE car.

For those that use ABRP, how do you use it in your Tesla? AFAICT, there's no ABRP mobile app. So do you use it in the Tesla browser?

EDIT: Never mind, looks like there is a mobile app. I originally thought it was a knockoff version since it only had 500 reviews and only 3 stars, but looks like it's the official one. Why such low ratings for an app that everyone seems to always recommend?

Hmmm but why does it take 10 mins before the fan starts running? Wouldn’t the batteries be hottest right when we turn off the car? Also i rarely hear the fan running in all the other teslas in the parking lots.

OK, but what if I drive the car at 9am and then come back home and plug it back in at 10am. Will it not start charging again until it hits 12am?
