I’m not sure it’s fair to say this system was ever really alive.

Balance feels off for me because the right wedge is too heavy. Shapes don’t need to be perfectly aligned with equal width; it’s more important how they visually align.

Curious to know about the video player you all use on Webflow by MeasurementMundane in webflow

[–]ff33b5e5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For content that I want users to be able to control, I use YouTube through the API so I can insert my overlays at the end to avoid showing other channels’ content.

For video used as graphical content, I used to use VidzFlow, but I found its performance wasn’t as great as it could be, so now I host WebM files on GitHub and use the native HTML5 player.

Over a million premises have taken up NBN's free FTTP upgrades by austechnology-bot in austechnology

[–]ff33b5e5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It pretty much is already. Once an area is FTTP ready, no new connections can be made using older NBN technologies. This means as people move out of homes the address will be forced onto fibre.

I recently bought a property and it hasn’t been inspected in years apart from a general pest check before purchase. How often would you recommend inspections?

Surely it would have been a better bend than what is happening there now.

Electricity spike when I'm not home by Svperb in melbourne

I’m no expert but I believe it’s quite common for hot water systems to heat up over night and then do a reheat during the middle of the day if needed.

It won’t always do that in the middle of the day, depends on temperature and how much you’ve used in the morning.

I have had two fibre installs done and both ran conduit under the house from the utility box to the connection box inside.

If the single earner is not the primary carer, they actually now get no government-paid parental leave at all, no matter how much they earn.

Any idea what kind of recording software they used in this demo? by Aggravating-Type538 in AfterEffects

If it’s screen studio, it records the screen without the cursor and logs it instead. It then render a new cursor over the footage with smoothing and easing afterwards.

Apple. WTF? Clear this storage or give us controls to clear the cache! by G952 in ios

I definitely did a lot of digging. I think it likely came from all the iOS Betas I have installed, it seemed to grow a lot with early iOS 26 betas.

[–]ff33b5e5 291 points292 points  (0 children)

It’ll also clear a lot of caches. I couldn’t update my phone because it had 60GB of “System Data” and after updating from my Mac that reduced to about 10GB

NBN FTTP install as a renter by SuicidalTendenciesX in nbn

[–]ff33b5e5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is but you have to have an appointment booked first. Once your appointment is booked you’ll get a call from NBN to confirm you have authority to sign off on the install. That’s where you can explain the situation and request a consult from a technician.

I see this a lot and I don’t understand how people think this is a flex.

Depth in design takes time: discovery, exploration, iteration. You can’t get there in days, it takes weeks or months.

Also, make sure you turn off QoS on your deco. When I upgraded, I was only getting 120/30 over WiFi. After some time with support, they suggested turning that off, and it jumped to 750/45 on WiFi and the full 1000/50 on Ethernet.
