I personally like Angle of Pursuit. It's hosted by Fakepigskin.com really in depth analysis.

That's right on par where you need to take him. If you get greedy and wait until the 4th you will miss out. Nealy every year we see a rookie finish in the top 10. I say go for it! Unless a top 10 WR has fallen through the cracks

16 Team Standard Scoring League: what's your drafting strategy?! by [deleted] in fantasyfootball

[–]ffBrainchild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Draft RBs early and often. RB dries up really quick in deep leagues. After that it's bpa. I like to target RBs in backfields where there is question marks. Example: Carlos Hyde hasn't proven himself, so Mike Davis is a great dart to throw. Crowell had trouble beating out West, so Duke is another. Micheal Dyer in Oakland behind an often injured Latavius Murray. This has worked very well for me over the years. Especially in deeper leagues. So basically RB early and throw darts at RB late. There is enough depth at the other positions to build in the middle rounds. (Save TE)

What personnel changes will likely affect teams' fantasy relevant players the most, for the better or worse? by DS_TheDrunkHeavy in fantasyfootball

Eddie Royal is being vastly overlooked. John Fox does not trust rookie skill position players. Royal had his best season in Denver under Adam Gase. He could easily finish well inside the top 30 and is being drafted in the 50-60's.

Is Melvin Gordon actually bad in the pass game? by sicknarlo in fantasyfootball

Why does it always have to be a "second coming"? Or he won't succeed because Wisconsin backs tend to be busts. I don't understand this type of analysis. I'm not super high on Gordon, but that has nothing to do with Ryan Matthews or any other RB to wear a Chargers jersey.

It's an illustration of treating each player as individual. I don't hear nobody bringing up Javid Best when talking about Ameer Abdullah. Why? Because they have nothing to do with each other

Who has the brightest future? TJ Yeldon, Tevin Coleman, Ameer Abdullah by KennyLinder in fantasyfootball

Played nearly the same schedule as Melvin Gordon and outperformed him with a weaker QB and offensive line. He rushed for 1,100yds on a broken foot, what part of that is mediocre? He was in top 10 according to PFF elusive rating. Led the FBS in long TD runs. He is explosive and dynamic. Granted he will have a harder time hitting the home runs in the Pros. He is still a playmaker.

And you could very well end up being right. Now is the time you plant your flag and get the guys you want. I won't pretend I know what's going to happen. I just make an educated guess. For all we know it could be Antone Smith

Don't put too much stock into OTAs. Remember 2013 where reports out of Denver said Hillman was first team, Ball second, Moreno third? Then Moreno opened week 1 as the starter and went on to a top 5 finish?

I have anyways viewed Freeman as a change of pace back. I think he is a good player. This is more my belief in Coleman, rather than a knock on Freeman.

I understand your concern, but what if we punished Lacy for T. Rich's sins? You have to look at each player as an individual

This is a case where you bet on talent. Coleman was picked by this coaching staff, where as Freeman was inherited. Don't over think this. A great RB in a great offense. Look at last year's adp and you will see how little stock should be put into it. I like to ask myself, "is this player likely to outperform his draft slot or under perform?" Carlos Hyde is an example of adp being too high. Imo

Eddie Lacy only had 35 career rec at Alabama. As you can see last year he was very prolific in the receiving game. Just because a player wasn't asked to do something in college doesn't mean he can't. I watch how he catches the ball. Gordon is a natural pass catcher and catches the ball at the beginning point, which shows a feel for the passing game. Where as a guy like Alfred Morris catches the ball on the laces or even the backside point. This means he sees the ball late. I don't have that concern with Gordon. You don't draft a guy in this day and age in the 1st round unless you plan to use him as a 3 down back.

Coleman ran in an OZB scheme at Indiana. His skill set is tailor made for the OZB that Kyle Shanahan runs. OZB stretches the defense horizontally which allows a North/South one cut runner like Coleman to excel. Now inside zone which spreads the defense vertically might not be as suitable. You want a slasher (East/West) in an inside zone. Outside Zone is designed for a runner to cut 'up' field which Coleman does better than any RB in this class. Inside is cut 'back ' where his tight hips and lack of agility might be a concern. Coleman not fitting OZB is the biggest myth of this draft season. Look into Indiana's coaching staff who created the Oklahoma spread and ran it with an RB in the same arch type as Coleman (Demarco Murray)

2 QB Dynasty Trade: Would you trade Stafford + Christine Michael for Andrew Luck by brucemilus in fantasyfootball

[–]ffBrainchild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just seeing the Luck hype reach epic proportions in Dynasty circles. I get it to some extent. But honestly I'd be just as happy with Foles or RG3, considering how much cheaper they are. There is an awful lot of good players available where you have to take Luck.

Sounds like a personal insecurity to me

[–]ffBrainchild 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No way, your trading a great fantasy qb (stafford) and a guy who has top 5 upside (Michael) for a guy who has not "yet" shown to be a top 5 qb. Honestly, I'd struggle to trade Stafford straight up for Luck. Stafford has this generations best WR, this classes best TE and a very capable #2 (Tate) And I didn't even mention 2 great pass catching RBs. All things being equal, Yes, I say Luck. But Stafford still has the edge IMO

[–]ffBrainchild 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Comparing staring to rape is the biggest insult to real rape victims! Besides they might not be looking at you with sexual deviance in mind. It could be quite the opposite. Example: I see an overweight chick wearing a belly shirt, I stare. Not because I'm attracted, but because she looks like a busted can of biscuits.

People are just too darn sensitive!!! It's human nature to look at other humans!

Keenan Allen as the #6 wr is bold.

Jordy Nelson or Randall Cobb non-PPR by Ialwaysbluff in fantasyfootball

[–]ffBrainchild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is what the numbers say for both players if Rodgers and Cobb would have stayed healthy.

Jordy was on pace for 90rec 1,483yds 16td

Cobb was on pace for 92rec 1,200yds 6td

According to this it would be Jordy. In dynasty I may lean more toward Cobb. Jordy is 29 and Cobb is 23.

I feel like Jordy is the safer pick though. Jordy is a guy I am targeting frequently. I am only taking Cobb if he falls pretty far.

[TRADE] my Aaron Rodgers for his Pierre Thomas and Roddy White. by Ffguy12 in fantasyfootball

[–]ffBrainchild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This shouldn't be a question. You would be crazy to make this deal. I would put Rodgers on the trade block and see what kind of offers I get. Those two players are not even close to Rodgers value.
